schizophrenia is considered genetic and there are studies involving identical twins. it shows that if one twin has it, then there is a 48% chance of the other getting it.

the causes are all a combination of nature and nurture

Not like he was ever relevant in the NBA anyways.

It's interesting from all the hot girls Lamar could choose from, he decided he wants to be with this.

I know it's sacrilegious to say this, because you all believe media everything, but I don't really care.

At best, the evidence for a genetic and/or biological basis to homosexual orientation is inconclusive. In fact, since the early 1990s, numerous studies attempting to establish a genetic cause for homosexuality have not proven to be valid or repeatable – two important requirements for study results to become accepted as fact in the scientific community.

In sum, there is no scientific or DNA test to tell us if a person is homosexual, bisexual or even heterosexual for that matter. And since nobody is "born gay," it's clear that sexual orientation is, at its core, a matter of how one defines oneself – not a matter of biology or genes.

Even in the secular cultural arena we see evidence of well-known people who have clearly changed their sexual orientation. Examples of formerly gay-identified celebrities who reportedly have become involved in relationships with people of the opposite gender include actors Anne Heche and Julie Cypher. Apparently, the reality that people can change their sexual identity isn't just a right-wing Christian thing.

Clearly, pro-homosexual advocates and their allies aren't dealing with all the evidence in their insistence that people are "born gay" and cannot change.

Interesting that you go - in a matter of two paragraphs, from saying something is inconclusive to conclusively deciding one way or another. No bias there or anything.

Are you also saying you can't be born straight?

Is it possible those people were actually bi-sexual?

Looking at his stats it appears he was on his way out of the NBA. Haven't read through this whole thread but if no team offers him a contract does this give him the right to say it's discrimination?

Curious if this happens as much with gay males? Seems like it's much more rare, but I could be wrong.

The odds are that if one twin is homosexual the other is more likely to be as well. However I personally have a friend with a gay twin brother. He's been married for several years and has a couple kids.

Where's the evidence that people cannot born gay? Scientists are still studying whether it's genetic thing or environmental or both. And who cares if he really wanted to be gay by choice. His decision doesn't harm you in any way.

    are they identical?

i know some non-identical triplets from high school and one of them is gay, but that's just the same genetic significance as normal brothers and sisters

It does, but some team will sign him because he's gay and the NBA would not want to create the perception that they're discriminatory in any way. Pretty smart by Collins to come out right as he's about to go out.

It's incredibly hypocritical they way Chris Brussard is being treated right now.

People beg for "tolerance" but refuse to tolerate anyone who disagrees with them! Props to Brussard for taking the unpopular opinion on national TV.

That makes no sense. Which team would be blamed for not signing him?

people shouldn't have a negative perception of people that disagree with homosexuality, but the negative comes when those people are hateful and discriminatory towards them because of their homosexuality.

    live and let live
