    To me, both options in the middle seem equally logical, given the information in the picture. I don't see how one would be more logical than the other. But I am apparently missing something?

    it's the blank one.

    The reason is if you add up the two circles underneath the one above, they should sum to the one above.

    This makes sense, but if you go left to right, you could apply the same logic and take the one with two dots.

    It's the 3rd one.

    For each box, there are 6 occurances of one color and 3 of the other.

    The middle box has to be black, the next one out has to be black, and the outer one has to be white.
