    I think if we kept Goran or Kyle we wouldve made the Playoffs still. Maybe we would've won more games. I can't say the same about Dalembert over Asik or Martin over Harden.

    These are all hypotheticals. You can make hypothesis and say if Battier was still here or if this and that then things would happen. It all doesn't mean anything. I can say if Lowry was here, he wouldn't mesh with Harden, get injured, and will screw up play off runs. I can say if Dragic was here, he wouldn't mesh with Harden, his shot% will be even worst, and screw up the play off runs.

    The only fact we have at hand is Houston made the playoffs. Jeremy Lin was in it, he contributed to many wins. Without his contribution, Rockets would not have made the playoffs.

    we have two solid PG right now in lin and beverley. And personally i dont see the point of talking about comfort level with jeremy. I mean who can realistically replace his role as the starting PG? beverley? He's not starting but he is already playing major minutes. If Lin is not playing well McHale doesn't have any prob benching him. If we cant find a starting Pg that we can sign who is better fit for this team then this is pointless. We should be comfortable that if there's going to be a trade and Jeremy or BEv has to be shipped out there wouldn't be major downgrade in the PG position unlike what happened to our PF position when PPAT was traded.

    That's true your right, that is why I said I think. Because it's my opinion.

    If you don't like the topic, then don't post here, lol. It is really that simple and I'm not trying to be rude man but If you don't see the point of talking about it then why are you here? Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

    I will say one thing about Lin, he is much better than both Rafer and AB even at this young point in his career. How much he can improve remains to be seen. I really hope that he becomes great for the Rockets sake.

    im not trying to be rude either. i just dont see the point of pining for other PG like Lowry or Dragic when we can't realistically get them. If we can have Lowry for this team in exchange for Lin then that will be great. You're not the only one who wants a better PG. Its not like CP3 is a free agent and were sticking with Lin. And its not like we don't have enough Lin and his future with Rockets thread in CF. And with the way Rockets changes its roster, harden might be the only player left in the starting five by next year. So maybe the more logical concern is Harden since he's the one who's likely to stay for three more seasons and not Lin.

    I wonder if Toronto would love to trade Lowry for Lin... They got big Asian population there... maybe they also get wider exposure...

    Phoenix also got nothing to lose if they trade Goran with Lin.... after all, they are the lottery team...

    Yeah, maybe Morey never thought of this?

    By future i guess you mean for one more season to prove himself. I can see morey trading him as an expiring, or sticking with him if he lives up to his contract next season.

    The answer is not clear at the moment.
    But I like to be positive so I voted yes :)

    We will have a much MUCH clearer idea come the all star break next season, and a definitive answer after the playoffs of that year. That will likely be the defining moment of Lin's career. I think he can easily average 15 and 7 through next season and if he can do that in the playoffs, I think the answer will be yes, as by the time we are thinking about contending he should be the 4th option on offense, just making sure it runs smoothly, with Parsons 3rd, Harden/Free Agent 1st/2nd. With improvements in d and hopefully becoming smarter, he should be able to be that 'future' pg for us. However, admittedly it remains to be seen if any of this will happen. So I understand the doubt some of you have, especially considering the events of the last two weeks. Keep your heads up though, as what I just outlined is preferable. An upgrade is unlikely to be cheap.

    I don't know yet. Sometimes he looks like it, sometimes he doesn't. I think we need another year to determine the answer to that question.

    He doesn't need to be spectacular. And he improved his shooting and ball security a lot this year. Sure, if we can get CP3 we move Lin - but we don't need to. If we can get one more superstar, Lin should be just fine.

    Alston was a better playmaker/passer and better on defense. Lin is probably little better as a scorer, but he is nowhere near as goiod as Rafer interms of his handels or running an offense.

    Here's a comparison between Jason Kidd's first 3 playoff games averages and Jeremy Lin's first 3 playoff games averages.

    Kidd ---> 07/05/09, 38m, 02-08 FG, 02-04 FT, 3 TO. Age = 24

    Lin ----> 04/02/03, 23m, 02-07 FG, 01-01 FT, 2 TO. Age = 24

    Kidd's first playoff series was against the Seattle Supersonics in 1997. Kidd was then a member of the Phoenix Suns.

    In addition, the Thunder have the 4th-best Defensive Rating in the NBA this year. Seattle's Defensive Rating in 1996-97 was #6. So, JLin is playing a better defense than the one Kidd faced (although Kidd was going against defensive wizard Gary Payton at the point guard spot).

    Besides the difference in assists, there isn't a lot to choose from between Kidd's numbers and Lin's numbers. And Lin is playing like half the minutes Kidd did those first three games. Finally, I don't think Kidd was playing with an injury in Games 2 and 3 of his playoff career.

    If you're a Lin fan, I would suggest to you to ignore the noise and instant judgments by people whom may not be believers in Jeremy Lin.

    People can say anything they want. That does not mean you have to pay attention to it, or respond to it.

    Yes for me. But I can understand all of the people freaking out because of his recent performance/injuries, coupled with the uniqueness of having someone like him. There's just no track record of a Harvard guy, or an Asian American, let alone both, leading a team to a championship. We shall see how it plays out.

    Did it ever occur to you that maybe on a discussion website, smart people with the right to free speech might want to discuss things. People have the right on this board to state their opinions without being attacked or trolled just because you don't like it. I could understand if this were an attack Jeremy Lin thread. But it's not. Most people if you bother looking at the poll are comfortable with him. If someone wants to pine for Lowry let them. Why would that be your main concern?

    Usually when someone doesn't see the point in something they don't do it. So why are here, you are only frustrating yourself. You might as well go punch yourself in the balls.

    Excuse me for this post but i will type in capital letters just to stress a point..

    I WANT JEREMY LIN TO SUCCEED AND BE THE POINT GUARD OF THE FUTURE FOR THIS TEAM BUT DAMN, HE HAS TO START PLAYING WITH SOME FIRE AND ATTITUDE AND STOP, JUST STOP BEING TOO PASSIVE & PLAYING NOT TO COMMIT MISTAKES AND BE 100% LINSANE!

    I have nothing else to say. Thank you.
