agreed. I don't even care if we have too give up a promising prospect to do it. 8 million dollars to a boy trying to play with men is just too much.

    "ICE IN THE VEINS"

Calderon is forever tainted as the player Lin shot the game winning 3 in his face during Linsanity.

We got Lin and Beverley, probably the most solid position in our line-up at least for the next two years.

Move on. Talk about someone else.

Man our defense would be awful. He would fit like a glove next to Harden though.

No kidding a Calderon and Beverly PG combo would be LIGHT YEARS better than what we have now.

Lin as a 6th man is good but better yet he would be great as a starter...... for the shanghai sharks!

    Lin isn't exactly Gary Payton.

I would love him here as the starter and Bev as the backup for D. Trade Lin+young talent for a good 4 and we'd be set. But, not happening.

lol...clearly, were not set at that position for years bc everyone wants to upgrade it. There's no one else to talk about. We got a guy making 8 mil when hes really only worth probably 4.5 mil at most. He's going to be talked about.

    Let's see.

Piston's record with Calderon playing:7-21. Without Calderon playing 22-32.

Raptor's record with Calderon playing:16-29. Without Calderon playing 18-19.

What a difference maker! And what a bargain at only 10.5 million! And he is only 31 years old! Don't worry about the defense, with more experience, I'm sure it will improve.

You obviously don't know what your talking about. Name me 1 starting pg (besides, chalmers, felton and lowry) not in their rookie contract who makes less than 7.5 million a year.

Lowry got a 5.7 million contract after averaging 9 pts and 4.5 assists.
Chalmers got a 4 million contract after averaging 6.4 pts and 2.5 assists.

It's obvious you don't have an understanding of what 4.5 million will get you in terms of value for starting pgs not in their rookie contracts.

Not for Calderon's current contract on 10 million, Also if we want to get him we must dump Lin, since there won't be enough room to sign another superstar if both stay on the team.

Chalmers is not a point guard. Lebron is the point guard.

signing Jose calderson is like signing another Jeremy Lin. Only slightly better. He's a decent player, but as soon as he gets in a shooting slump, he turns into the foreign Anthony Carter (a bum).

So what we need is a good defending point guard with a pretty good outside shot?

Perhaps we should try to get Lowry or Dragic? :p

Calderon is going to be a free agent because of his expiring contract, which means that if he were to sign with Houston then it most likely won't be for $10 million per season.

List of free agent point guards that can shoot but most of them aren't good defenders.

    - Jose Calderson
    - Daniel Gibson
    - Mo Williams
    - Chauncey Billups
    - Nate Robinson
    - Derek Fisher

I would also add Andrew Goudelock

The Rockets probably will average 120pt a game, and give up 130.
