I don't think Lin is soft. He played all 82 games this season even after spraining his ankle in practice. He was beat up all season by many NBA players got up and continued playing. He got so much more respect in NY.

    U wot m8?

Jokes aside, I'm not sure why Lelbron is relevant here.

I have not seen this team tries to set multiple screens for the ball handler.
The screen and back door cut was done before with Parsons, but the team stops doing that recently and instead prefers to jack up 3 for some reason.
And asides from Asik, the team's other PFs can barely set a half-decent screen to stop the other team, and they certainly can't roll to the basket asides from Smith.
The high screen and roll is the only decently execute play.

Players never win. They don't play through injury in the post season when there team is down 2, at home & the opponent just lost there starting PG people call them soft or not tough. Joakim Noah is playing with plantar facitis, Wade is playing with a bad knee. When a player does play through injury fans say they are selfish. Can't have it both ways.

God. Just ship Lin out. Cant believe the b****ing and whining. Hes a standup kid, performed well, improved overall as a player in his first season as a starter, adjusted to playing in a system that doesnt highlight his strengths, and all people do is just cry about the glory days of dragic and lowry, CHOKING ourselves out of the playoffs. We for once have a team that has shown potential, we have our franchise player in Harden with flexibility for the future. quite whining and complaining

Sorry. I've just been trying to be patient with the team since Yao went down, and I felt like we had a legitimate shot to pull of an epic upset and win this series until tonight. This loss stung, especially after deciding to throw down to attend the game. All in all it was exciting, but I really feel like if Lin sat the entire game, we would have won, and it'd be a brand new series. Perhaps I should alter my expectations and just think about the future.....

I am now wanting to see Lin get shipped off just so that I don't have to sift through the LOF fan comments in every thread I read.

Yes the loss sucks. I almost threw my laptop through my window. But that wouldnt be advantageous in studying for exams. But we were a Durant pinball away from pulling off an upset, we were a Perkins tugjob away from having a shot in game 2, Yes Lin was bad, but he was playing hurt, he was damned if he played, damned if he didnt. Its not fair to say linsanity was a fluke, then condemn him for 3 games where he was injured for half of it. He wasnt the reason we lost. We failed to excecute down the stretch. Harden came up donut from the freethrowline, Rockets had 3 crucial turnovers and hit 2 of 8 in the final 5. Lin didnt play.

ur an idiot obviously he was hurt, but mchale still wanted to play him if he cud
he doent get to decide if he starts, when asked if he cud play, of course he wud say yes even if he knew he was hurt, hes a tough kid any one wudve said yes, stop saying he wasnt hurt, cuz he was,
but his poor performance wasnt due to the injury that i agree with you, he just simply played awful as in game 1 and got pulled out for that not because of his injury, he played really really bad, no excuse for that

Never said he wasn't injured. I just wonder how much it affected his play. His performance wasn't that much different from game 1 so I just conclude that he's struggling mightily right now and not just because of the injury.

Well, try taking that into consideration, just look at Artest in game 3.

Sounds like a problem people have been having for a while, coaching.

This is his first year starting, bound to get better. Are you saying the Rockets are a contending team right now? Contending means contending for a playoff spot or a championship? Are you saying Beverly could be a good starting PG for a championship team next year?

Quit the hate. Be more patient. Use some intelligence.

To be honest we're all extremely pissed off about these recent close losses especially the last one, and rightly so, and are looking for a scapegoat. Lin just happens to be the most convenient because of annoying LOFs and because of our last impressions of him are pretty terrible. Game 1 is still burned in our memories and the first half of game 2 where he was better but still didn't impact the game. Then he got injured and couldn't redeem himself. Game 3 he played injured and thus like garbage.

So in short you have 3 games with very very bad impressions of which he only played half of that injury free.

It feels longer but thats 1.5 games of a sample size. It's not really fair to judge him off that.

The regular season with 82 games is a wayy better benchmark, which shows, at the moment that he's an average starting PG.

I'm willing to give him 1 more year. There are many things he needs to improve; outside shooting, tighter handles, smarter decisions, but really patience is the key right now.

Oh but if he's healthy for game 4, he better show up.

    This is really funny.

I really disliked OKC the way they came out tonight tried to get revenge for WB getting hurt.

Especially, KDs hit on Lin after he called a time out ... and he stared down our bench after that too.

When one of our own gets hurt, we eat him alive. Pathetic.

    WE EAT OUR OWN!

    SMFH!

I understand fans, their adoration of players. My kids are the same way.
Haters?! WTF?! What sustains them? What rock did they crawl out from?

This is pure unsubstantiated bull that you're spewing and it's disappointing that other posters are buying it. If Lin is a sub-par jump-shooter, then why is he 16th in the league among point guards in the 16-23 ft range, shooting 40% (the league average is 39.4%). Why are he and Harden's jump shot percentage essentially the same? If he's arguably the worst perimeter shooter in the roster then why has he been shooting 35.5% from 3 since December and 39.3% since February? If he has such a horrible first step, why did ESPN Sports Science compare his first step to that of John Wall? Why has Morey on multiple occasions stated that Lin had the fastest, most explosive first step of any players they've measured? Lastly, if his drives sucked so badly, why, as of February, were the Rockets scoring 1.32 points per possession on his drives to the basket, making him as effective as Tony Parker?

Thank you for the stats. I thought Lin was shooting better than Harden though, I was surprised their FG% are the same. I saw in another post on CF that Lin is the most "Clutch (FG%) in the last 5min. of all rocket players.
