For most of his career, CP3 has been injured during the playoffs. You can look at the numbers and basically tell in which years he was fully healthy.
I just think Memphis is way too good to go down quietly and I would not be shocked if this goes 7 again. Memphis was the last team I wanted the Clippers to face in the first round, because even when you win the battle you lose the war because they take such a physical toll on the opposition. And I actually really like the way Memphis plays. Zac was one of my favorite players when he was on the Clippers (I just love thinking "how bad is his diet that he's pudgy despite running miles each day??) It's too bad 'what' is such a prick that he makes me hate them more than I should.
Another game and still nothing from Tayshaun Prince. What do SamFisher and Hollinger have to saw now about this move that they both championed? In related news, one more beast mode performance like this from Z-BO and it will be time to bump my prophetic and epic Zach Randolph thread that's been the inspiration for so many other threads.
Prince wasn't taken for his offensive influence. Everything he brings on that side of the court is a bonus. Gay doesn't bring anything on defense, and on offense he is inefficient.
As you saw last night, Del Negro has no half court gameplan. Everything is iso iso, and no ball movement, and nobody moves. He relies on Paul to do everything, and as you can see the iso heavy offense is predictable and the Grizz are able to bother it alot when that's all you have going on. Chris Paul is not out there trying to challenge teams as a me first player, but when they arent operating freely which is how they win, its ugly because they're coach is clueless and never makes adjustments because he doesn't know how.
what a run by Memphis. Apart from broken plays, CP3 genius and fastbreak scoring Clippers really have nothing going on offense.
Grizz not playing super great defense on the Clips' perimeter shooting. The shots are good choices, but perimeter shots aside from Odom just haven't been going in.
How many more playoff duds will CP3 have until we can stop calling him one of the top PGs in the league? This dude looks like fool's gold to me.
Give him a break. His 2nd best player is Blake Griffin, who IMO is barely all star material. Also for some reason or another he only plays well at home.
Could have been 3-1 Grizz, heading to LAC for game 5. If the Thunder win, and Grizz win, ZBo/Gasol v. Ibaka/Perkins will be another battle.
