What about Beverley's passing skills? I haven't really noticed his passing, but he does seem to be racking up a decent amount of assists per game. But I'm still not going to forget the times where he played long continuos minutes and the offense went completely stagnant before saying he is the next Rondo. But all the things you mentioned are improvable, and he has the intangibles.

Agreed except the "see the floor" part. Court vision cannot be attained by practice and can only improve marginally by experience.

That said, the kid is not a bad passer. But I don't think he will ever be better than average as a playmaker. I do think that if he can improve his 3 point shot and can finish better going to the hoop, he'll be a heck of a player.

Steve Kerr just summed it up well on the Bulls/Nets broadcast. The play was perfectly reasonable, not "cheap," and something that happens all the time in the NBA. Screw Charles Barkley's biased interpretation.

Got to like Beverly's tenacity, and hope the Rockets keep him for a long time.

JVG said the same thing last night, during I think the Knicks game.

I think it's ridiculous that this play is discussed as dirty. It's unfortunate that Westbrook got hurt but Bev did nothing wrong. I'd feel the exact same way if someone like fisher did the same play to Harden. And Fisher is a dirty piece of ****.

It was a legitimate play. If Westbrook did this to Beverley and Beverley got hurt, none of these will make it to the media.

Expressing sympathy while not apologizing is the correct way to play this and is what I would expect from an OKC player if the roles were reversed [God forbid].

A lot of his passes are just along the perimeter. I forgot if it was game 1 or 2, but when he was in with Parsons and Lin/Harden were on the bench, all they did was play hot potato along the perimeter until someone decided to shoot. He definitely needs to work on his playmaking.

The reason Barkley whined is because Westbrook is a star and Beverly is not. It's probably the way all pro sports are, but the NBA is especially heinous about it. Stars mean everything and bench players don't matter. The play itself seemed pretty typical to me and I've seen stars and bench players alike do it. I guarantee if it had been the other way around, with Westbrook swiping the ball, Barkley or whoever would've said, "That's just the tenacity and hustle of Westbrook. Never gives up on a play and plays till the whistle." Isn't that how you're coached to play?

He shouldn't apologize, it was a clean play, albeit reckless play. OKC and Westbrook fans need to chill, it isn't like he elbowed or stomped on the guy... on that play.
