You are not very smart. Texans were not taking a DT there.

NFL Network said that in football terms he is a steal, but teams didnt like the interview at the combine, so thats why his stock dropped a lot.

The only starter they needed immediately was a WR. The safety will play a lot.....in the Glover Quinn role.

    The RT kid could start.

But really, this is what happens when you have a good team.

If your draft picks are starting, you typically suck.

Kiper wasn't very high on him. Not sure what Kiper's hair thought of him.

Montgomery and Swearinger were teammates at Greenwood HS in South Carolina.

You don't know that yet. Williams could be the opening day starter at RT and Montgomery was probably drafted to be a 3-4 OLB. Which might mean we move Reed inside and he starts outside opposite Mercilus.

May happen, may not, but you can't flatly say that we only have 1 starter out of 4 picks thus far.

Somebody get this guy a drink. Dude this team just filled three need positions, Montgomery may be the steal of this draft in the third. Relax games are played on the field not on paper even though these picks are really good on paper

I dont think RT is set it stone. Williams can definitely take the starting nod there.

Swearinger wont start, but he has a chance to get in on a lot of plays.

It's not like the Texans are this crappy team with gaping holes all over the place. Judging a draft by how many starters we got isnt a great indication of how well we drafted. If that was the standard, then the Browns and Raiders would be winning the draft contest every season.

We have added some good pieces to the team...and we've added in areas of need, which is definitely crucial when you already have a playoff team on your hands.

Ugh. You keep saying this and then you argue that a second ILB would be a starter for them.

Wade Phillips wants a 3rd safety on the field over 50% of the snaps. He wants his 3rd safety on the field more than he wants a second ILB on the field.

Montgomery doesnt look very fast, mobile for an OLB and I dont think he's very big to be an DE on our 3-4 defense.

What are the odds? A couple of childhood friends that played HS ball together reunited in the NFL. Gotta love it.

The NFL network crew kind of assumed the Texans thought of him as a 3-4 OLB, which I've also seen on some scouting reports, that he could be a 4-3 DE or a 3-4 OLB. If we're bringing him in to be an OLB, it's not a reach to assume that maybe he starts and Reed moves inside.

I'll be happy as a clam if they prove me wrong, but tonight I think they blew it not trading up in the second round. I think they're going to have to work some real magic tomorrow and with FAs to take care of NT, ILB, and TE-2, cause what we have isn't great.
