Play seemed pretty expensive for the Thunder.

So how exactly to the thunder beat a zone without a penetrating threat? KMart can't handle the ball. Jackson is young. And Fisher is on his deathbed.

You are talking to fans who know how you feel. We had two top 10 players in their primes just a few years ago... and they broke down like a 10 years old Chevys.

I'll echo many of the posts in here. Never want to see a great player injured, but it was not a dirty or cheap play. It was a tough nosed basketball play.

For all Charles likes to complain about the Rockets not paying him, or living up to some kind of deal... Patrick Beverely is a journeyman European player if not for doing all the little things with such energy and effort. He doesn't make - or even attempt to make - plays like that, he may not be an nba player.

Also, at some point in this thread there's been reference to the Perkins hold. I think that play is WAY WAY WAY dirtier or cheaper than what PBev did. Perkins in NO WAY made a basketball play. It was more akin to wrestling than basketball. The only difference is that Parsons didn't get injured. But I think EVERYBODY agrees that PBev wasn't trying to injure anyone. Mind you, Parsons could have easily been injured... he pulls his shoulder out, has a mini muscle tear, whatever

I don't think Pat was trying to injure Russ, but any time you dive at a guy's knee there is a fairly significant risk of something like this happening. To me, the play looked at kind of reckless. How often do guys succeed at stealing the ball from a player calling the time out anyway?

How often does a 6'1 PG block shots? How often does a 6'1 PG win a jump ball? How often does a 6'1 PG lead the team in boards? How often does someone manage to actually pester RW with ball pressure?

RW and Beverley were jawing the entire match. If there was an opening to get the ball between the 2 of them, chances are the opposing player was going to go for it.

Maybe next time Westbrick will be more careful about sticking his knee out when someone goes for a steal.

If you can go back and read all of my posts and the posts from rude Rockets fans that I was replying to and honestly say that I was the bad guy or the one starting things, then I fully apologize. But if you take your homer glasses off, you'll realize that isn't the case.

    Thanks man.

standard risk of being on the floor. you have to hustle and harass a super star to take them off their game.

Hanzlik used to harass the crap out of Olajuwon.

While it was not a dirty play, Bev fouled him after a time-out had been called. Bev should have been given a technical foul. It's just that Bev only knows how to play in one mode: fast.

You're the homer who thought OKC had a chance of beating Miami after they spanked the Thunder last year.

I'm a homer for thinking the Rockets still lose without Westbrook.

    Bandwagon fan.

+1....and it's an open forum on the internet. Can't censor 12-year-olds (try playing a game on XBox Live).

just ignore the people that actually wish physical harm on another person..
True fans can be competitive but I don't think a true fan ever wishes harm on the competition.

it's too bad westbrook is out since the Thunder were my backup to root against the Heat. Maybe he can make it back by the finals.
