Wow, that sucks for the Thunder. Though they have been unusually lucky with their durability in recent year.

Beverley will get criticized for it, but he shouldn't be punished after the fact just because Westbrook got injured on the play. He was going for the steal and it was still a live ball situation.

It was so unfortunate, for both WB and PB. Of course it wasn't intentional, but I am wondering whether the contact was made after timeout was called or during or before.

That being said, for those said we now have a chance (me included), I have a feeling that Refs will be really hard on us from now on, even at home.

Also, I don't want this gets into PB's head (it's hard though) and affects how he plays defense.

Griffin had same injury and came back in 6 days when he was in OKLAHOMA. MWP 12 days came back after surgery on this knee. Really depends on severity of it

The Thunder are still more talented than the Rockets, even without Westbrook.

Lucky for him, he won't have to deal with the idea of second, sitting at home.

Thunder fans called it a dirty play that's a pure emotional comment That play was agressive but nothing dirty. they have no idea how good is Beverley as a defender. He is more than tough and quick. He also has a very nice anticipation which gave Westbrook a lot of trouble.

westbrook is the spark, energy, and real heart of the thunder.

where are they going to get those transition buckets from?

thunder can still pull it off because they're up 2-0 but we can now take the series to 6 now

The best way to go about this is not even acknowledge it if I were Beverley

I would agree with that until Perkins sent out his little tweet today. Screw Kendrik Perkin. Karma is a b**** big fellow.

I do feel bad for Westbrook though and the Thunder.

Nobody felt pity for us when we lost Yao in the 2009 playoffs!!! We HAVE to take advantage of this.

Please.... Westbrook turned his body exposing his leg. Beverley didn't "just run into it". Give me a break.

And AGAIN (for the millionth time), Beverley didn't do anything out of the norm. Many posters have said it, Kenny Smith and Shaq said so as well.

Whatever happened to "play until you hear the whistle"? And, had Westbrook (and the Thunder) faked a timeout and got an uncontested layup out of it, this whole board would be up in arms talking about how stupid the Rockets were for not keeping their heads up.

can the Thunder even win 1 game the rest of the series? Listen Durant is pretty damn good but if double and triple teams and guys zoning up on him no way in hell Fisher/Martin/Jackson gonna score 20-25 to make up in Westbrook's absence. I think the Thunder are toast. Its the Rockets series to lose.

Dang Durant is gonna explode next game.

I don't like WB, but I guess it sucks that he'll miss the playoffs. Now if it happened to Perkins, I won't even be mad.

Lebron sent bev to take out his final threat.

    Rose, Rondo, Bryant, now Westbrook.

BEV DOING ALL THE DERTY WERK! DIZZAM. I think OKC will be fine - no one can really stop KD. KD makes a higher % anyway - doesn't give us that much of an edge.

I have no problem with going for the steal when he calls a timeout (though I've never seen it work). But it's on Beverley not to make the play in a way that injures the other player.

Anyone who's played pickup basketball against players who don't know what they're doing know what I'm talking about. Some guys just run around full speed charging into you or undercutting you when you jump. If defenders aren't mindful of what they're doing then EVERY NBA player would end up injured on a monthly basis. The game depends on players knowing what the heck they're doing.

Definitely not a dirty play by Beverley as there was no intent...but it was pretty stupid.

On the positive side, I think we can take this series!
