I didn't know Deke presented the DPoY to Gasol. Very cool.

Game recognizes game. "Grit & Grind" == "Flop & Foul".

Randolph and Griffin called for double fouls for the 3rd straight game! Hilarious.

Del Negro is a crap coach. How do none of your starters get more than 34 minutes in a tightly contested playoff game? Is getting Odom, Hollins, and Ronny Turiaf run really that important?

This was the best defense I've seen on CP3 in a while. Wow. Memphis did a ridiculously good job on him. A A healthy CP3.

FIVE turnovers. 4-11 from the field. 4 assists only. Full team effort.

I actually think he does a good job keeping the minutes down so that the players all have a lot of energy to wear out the opposing starters getting 40mpg. Rotation wise, my main complaint is that he's playing Billups just because he has a reputation, when Bledsoe would eat those minutes or, at least, Willie Green (much less selfish, much better defender) could get some run. Billups coming back for the playoffs may be the worst thing that could have happened to the Clippers, if not this round, then next round (he's prob. the only guy old man Fisher can guard LOL).

Where VDN is a crap coach is that he has no offensive system. He just trusts his guys to "make plays". Which is why out of timeouts, the Clippers turn it over half the time.

Yes, they adjusted really well. CP3 had some uncharacteristic turnovers too.

Not saying I agree with them, just answered the question on what they were chanting. But the Odom-Dooling play was pretty floppy lol.

I don't watch a ton of Clips games, mostly just when they are on national TV... why does CP3 seem prone to more than a few of these absolute stinker Jeremy Lin games??? And they usually seem to be against good teams in big games... what gives? Not trolling, I just don't understand it because in my mind, he's the best PG in the league and it shouldn't happen this often.

I could buy the energy argument for the regular season, but in the playoffs you should play your best players as much as you can. Memphis understood this, and each of their starters got 30 plus minutes on the floor. Del Negro by contrast thinks playing the corpses of Lamar Odom and Ronny Turiaf is a priority.

And yes, his offensive and defensive 'coaching' is horrid too.

I don't know what to tell you other than that I suspect this happens to all ball-dominant players since they are involved in every part of the game. I know Magic had some bad games back in the day but the media wasn't quite the presence it is now.

My personal opinion is that, as great as Paul is (and I'd rather no player take a big shot than him), the ball sticks with him far too much and the Clipper offense often looks at its best when he's not on the floor.

CP3 does seem to shrink in the playoffs. I'm wondering if that's a function of his small size and relative lack of athleticism limiting him when the other team is really serious about stopping him. Could be injuries as well.

Huh? He's a big time playoffs player. Last year he was injured in the playoffs and this one game doesn't mean crap. I'm sure he'll adjust next game.

Does he shrink in the playoffs though? I thought his numbers were better than his regular season numbers, and I know he was pretty amazing in the series I've seen him in (eg, the Lakers a few years ago). He wasn't that good last year but he was injured.

Well I'm not a CP3 devotee so you may very well be right. He was fantastic in that Lakers series, but he looked average during last years' playoffs. He also had a Jeremy-Lin-in-Game-1 type performance today so that's coloring my perception too.

He was injured last year so I let that slide (still he was huge in a couple of games in the first round and was the playmaker during the amazing game 1 comeback). I didn't really watch him much prior to 2010-- I know he took a lot of **** for that horrific Denver 50 point blowout. Of course CP3 was like 21 when that happened.
