I never really liked either QB. Geno seems like the better pick, however. It's hard to evaluate Geno bc of the system they run at WV. EJ was terrible in the big games when it mattered most.
49ers give up the 31st overall pick (3rd rounder) as well as their first rounder for the Cowboys pick.
So, looks like a chance that Geno Smith could be on the board when the Texans pick. Is he a big enough prospect that you take him... I'm personally not sold, but if Kubiak is then he should pull the trigger. Hardest position to find and the most important one on the field. If they are going to be a good team going forward it will be really hard to get a chance to draft a franchise QB.
hmm reid was projected to bengals...would have been nice. think we gotta go best avail now...i would say TE/WR to help AJ?
Dallas moves down to 31 and gets a 3rd round pick(74th overall). -------------- Back to Manuel/Bills: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Those who know Doug Marrone said he was wary of bearing the brunt of a bad pick in Ryan Nassib. It would be on him. With EJ Manuel, it isn't</p>— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/327604624435601409">April 26, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
We couldn't even get a 2nd? That's a far slide for just a third. Jerrah must not have liked anyone. I'm predicting a trade up, lol.
I don't know about all that. Geno has a pretty damn good arm, especially on the run. I'm just a West Coast Offense nerd, and love QB's that can carve a defense left and right. Geno fits that more so than EJ. I haven't seen much of EJ Manuel, but what I have seen was pretty disappointing. I seen Geno play in person, and the kid has some pretty solid decision making on the field.
