Hey unbiased Cat that doesn't take either side... Portland's CSN streams their games online to anyone who can't get Comcast (not offered in their area) and any game that's aired on their local tv affiliate Channel 8 is streamed to all people. (Comcast chooses not to stream it locally to people who could switch to Comcast.)
You went from saying both sides are hitting us with lying ads. When you got questions where you are seeing the ads from the providers that are full of lies and insulting our intelligence you said they don't have to advertise because they are representing status quo. Then you say I'm kidding myself if I expect honesty. So, does this now mean you admit that CSN is the only side that is lying to the public via their advertising and that we should expect nothing less than lies from them? If so, glad to have you on board!
Speaking of agendas, you have killed a whole afternoon vigorously defending your unbiased stance. Why?
If you were addressing me, it's because I'm bored and because this situation still makes me angry. I still call DirecTV every other week or so and get whatever free thing they are offering me. As for agenda, my agenda is that I want the situation resolved before the next Rockets season because missing this entire season was BRUTAL.
No, Cat I'm on this thread because I hate watching capitalist, corporations and management companies sucking all the love out of things that are pure and beautiful so some turdstick can tax shelter more cash offshore.
I wonder how long it took CSN in Portland to do that. We're talking about the same company here. That might work for the Rockets..don't know. But I doubt seriously it would work for the Astros. I don't think MLB would allow that.
I'm pretty even on this...and I have to say, I'm really bothered by Uverse not picking this up so I can at least watch games this week. And if the Rockets game 4 ends up being blacked out locally because it's on NBA TV, I'm going to be uber pissed when this absolutely free option existed for us.
No, I'm pretty sure Cat is right that MLB forbids it. They do a better job though with MLB EI than the NBA does with NBAtv.
Yea I'm with you on that completely. AT&T is fixin to feel the wrath of all of us who desperately want this channel. I'm guessing they do not feel the number who are pissed about this will be great
Not me, I'm enjoying my discounts from Directv, and also watched NBA League pass for the 1st time at a very low discounted rate. Denver and Pacers were the teams to watch. Thank You Directv.
No way I go back to Comcast and their horrible service and lack of customer service. I would go without TV service before I went back to Comcast
37 days of CSN Houston = 34 Astros games I could get...and it would cost me and Uverse absolutely nothing to get it. That's inexcusable. I'm under contract..but that's the kind of thing that would make me walk when it's expired.
Welp. There's your explanation why these negotiations have gone nowhere. If you started to see a decent shift in subscribers, this deal would be done tomorrow.
The team owners aren't bad people for this. They simply overestimated the value of their channel on a broad basis for cable systems.
Show me where I said both sides are hitting us with lying ads. Your reading comprehension problem is becoming an issue again. I said both sides are lying to us. You're the one adding the "ad" disclaimer. Not me.
