Not denying he doesn't make bad passes. But he doesn't do them a) frequently, or b) when the game is on the line.

Don't get me wrong....Lin has potential, but he also has significant weaknesses in his game.

I see where you are coming from, but if you look at the games often enough, you will see that Bev does not make many "high quality" passes. I agree that Bev does not make "dumb" passes simply because he doesn't try to make good passes in the first place. I am still convinced that if Lin gets a lot of touches, he can average 10 assists per game, because he has a certain feel for the passes. Having said this, Lin does not have the natural shooter mentality and needs to add several offensive moves, such as stop jumpers.

Long term Lin is a better prospect if he gets developed. If he improves his shot and decision making and handles, he can become a great PG, and I think he can if he gets the PT and freedom to do that.

PBev is not a starting PG, unless you play almost a triangle. Where he can perform a D Fisher role. Pat doesn't control the game or bring enough in terms of play making. But he has great energy, athleticism and a fearless attitude.

And it's only against OKC/Miami where Jeremy is getting shown up, against majority of the NBA teams he does alright...

Pat Bev is a great game changer to bring off the bench, bit of a surprise in G2, but in g3 if Lin doesn't play, I can see his impact being diminished.

Also, he's a great rebounder forgot to mention that but if he gets injured, how much does that speed/quickness/athleticism go. Look at Brooks, how quickly he's declined after that ankle injury....

In 2016. Until then he is making 1/8 the salary of the so-called starter in front of him.

Lin needs to come to play over the rest of this series or Morey won't hesitate to trade him for an upgrade somewhere else.

This. Although last year was an anomaly that ended up seeing us ship both our point guards out. Maybe the curse is broken? Or maybe resigning Brooks re-ignited the curse.

In any case, we're going to have to sacrifice Lin and Beverley to the basketball gods to start Aaron Brooks and end the vicious cycle.

If Lin is so awful, why would any team pick up his contract and give the Rockets a better piece in return?

    Uh oh....logic.

Beverly played extremely well last night. No question about it. But, he also made mistakes that hurt the team. In the fourth quarter at the 11:21 mark Beverly made a bad pass which led to a transition 3 for Martin. Then less than 2 minutes later, Beverly made another bad pass at the 9:30 mark which lead to another easy transition 3 for Martin. 2 bad passes in a span of less than 2 minutes in the fourth quarter that led to 6 easy points for OKC. If that had been Lin, there would be some people blaming him for the loss.

Beverly shot 38% from 3, but he only took 97 shots which is a small sample. For comparison, Lin in the last 3 months took 108 three point shots while shooting 40%. We need to see more from both to see if either can keep up the percentage.

It's the eye test all over again people see what they want to see. Regardless, sounds like Lin is on his way out of town.

Beverly makes it less painful to trade Lin for the right package. Nothing more nothing less.

Morey wants home run hitters. He's not going anywhere.

Dude, just last week against the suns he scored 20 points. He's been averaging 15 ppg post all star break and was averaging 17 in april for the regular season. What did you expect from this guy? 26 and 10 on 55% shooting? Considering he has to share the backcourt with a star in Harden, I'd say he's played up to his contract so far and will only improve. He was playing pretty well in the first half and had he not gotten injured he probably would've had another good game and we probably could've won. Why would you even say he's an average "at best" point guard. He is an average starting point guard right now, which automatically makes him an above average point guard and an above average NBA player.

What logic? If bev can give us what we expect from Lin at a fraction of the cost and we then decide to trade Lin, that doesn't mean Lin sucks it means we have a cheaper option and can use our cap space in other ways.

Not saying this scenario is set in stone, bev still has a lot to prove and he and Lin both are far from finished products. Only time will tell what will happen.

Maybe that will be a good thing for JLin.

Many of Rockets fans are simply idiots. One game off, they nearly want to kill a player. One good game, then they want this player to be a starter.

And people were saying how Linsanity was SMALL SAMPLE SIZE, and that Lin was undrafted for a REASON, blah blah blah.

Here we have a guy plucked from Russian league and had Beversanity in ONE game and people are saying that Beverley has a brighter future than Lin.

Not saying Beverley won't have a better career than Lin. But talk about double standard.
