Yea ok, but I haven't heard a single advertisement from the providers talking down to us. I haven't seen a single ad on TV from the providers telling us how trashy the other side is. Maybe you are the only one who gets pounded by those statements from the providers. Care to share with us what TV stations and radio stations all of that is happening on? I get pounded by the ones from csn houston every day, would love to see/hear what you are talking about here.

The providers don't have to advertise; they're supporting the status quo, which is doing nothing. The person wanting change, in this case adding a new network, is the one that has to go on the offensive. I find it hard to blame CSN for simply doing what the situation logically dictates.

Now yes, to extend it, I do blame CSN for its disingenuous statements in those ads. But I also hold the providers accountable for theirs in basically every newspaper story about the situation. Just because the provider isn't in a position to need to advertise doesn't mean we should absolve them of any responsibility for their statements.

All you do is apply 60% additional viewership assuming people would watch at the same rate. It's not rocket science.

That would be a projection. Comparing the two seasons as they are would be wrong for obvious reasons. It's not rocket science, but it also wouldn't be an accurate number.

Any updates on providers taking CSN up on offer?

No official statements. I've seen people on twitter say that UVerse reps were questioning why they should air the channel of a competitor. I've emailed my provider, but I doubt it'll do any good.

The post you quoted was saying the reason so many are against the csn is because we are constantly insulted, over and over and over, by their ads. You said it wa both sides. That simply isn't true, we are not constantly bombarded and insulted by the providers. We all have our own views here and we all have the right to them. Your reply simply was not accurate at all

New statement from AT&T is just ridiculous:

Hey, AT&T: they're not allowed to do that even if they wanted to. Try reading up on MLB and NBA rules, as it pertains to broadcast rights. RSNs aren't allowed to stream.

Secondly, the statement does not address at all why they would not offer a channel that some of their customers want when it is offered to them for free. Why is your stated goal of "a la carte" incompatible with offering the channel at no cost to you for over 5 weeks?

By this logic, then, the new network side is wrong no matter what -- because they're the side that has to advertise. Simply by default. And yes, you're entitled to that view. But I have a right to point out the flawed logic.

Eh, I get it. I mean it is cruel to the fans, but I understand their concern.

Very few people actually follow the news about the negotiations. If suddenly it's on their channel and then it is taken away, they will be upset.

Why do you think MLB Extra Innings and NFL Sunday Ticket give a preview every year? Or HBO does a preview throughout the year?

They know that once people have it a certain percentage will not want to lose it.

They don't have to lie or produce insulting ads in order to advertise.

Is this true? Doesn't the Portland CSN stream games for fans online?

Hey, I'm just reporting the news when I see it. But yeah, they are basically irrelevant

Do they? I know MLB doesn't allow it because of MLBTV rules.

If you expect honesty in these ads, you're kidding yourself.

Dude, the talk was about WHY the crowd is against csn Houston, there wasn't a lot of logic needed to understand the post.

I did hear somewhere that the Blazers do that, but I don't know if it's true or not.
