Nothing groundbreaking, but thought I'd share what Broussard is saying about us.

While it's unlikely that Houston Rockets coach Kevin McHale will step down, sources say the Rockets will have strong interest in Stan Van Gundy if he does. Of course, the Rockets will be major suitors of Dwight Howard in free agency. Howard and Van Gundy have been on friendly terms this season, texting often, and sources say Howard has gained a newfound respect for Van Gundy's coaching ability this season.

I could have told you that, without sources. Morey has made no secret of his admiration of SVG's coaching. Not sure if Les Alexander would be on board to bring in another Van Gundy, though.

Mchale as a trainer, he can make DH better.
But if DH wants SVG, the Rox should bring him in and say goodbye to Mchale.

Why? You think Papa Phil can deal with the roster turnover that we have? If Morey pulled off a trade similar to the PatPat/TRob trade under Phil, Phil would have gone on a media tirade! Plus, as anyone knows Phil only comes into pre-built teams. This team is missing pieces.

Phil needs to go to a team like Seattle, a team with a soft GM. Phil wants a heck of a lot more say in the day to day as well as long term goals. LA can't give him that and we definitely can't give him that (with Morey on board).

I think *gulp* a Jeff Van Gundy would be a good fit for the Rockets. We need defense. I think with a more defensive minded team while trying to maintain offensive potency we might have a chance. Sure, it's boring as hell to watch, but we didn't do too horribly when we had it.

Everyone around here would love Stan Van Gundy as our coach......for about a week. And then we would have a fire Stan thread, and b****ing about the rotation would commence.

    McHale isn't going anywhere anyway.

In that vein, can we find that 7'6" guy we used to have? What was his name again? He really added to our defense back then...

Is his name Yu? Yi? Yo?... It escapes me right now...

I had a dream of an equal co-coached team of SVG and JVG. 1 offense and 1 defense. Would be amazing.

Imagine how pissed orlando would be if after firing svg because of dwight, then losing dwight anyway, if those two ended up reuniting elsewhere.

"Sources say" again. BROUSSARD, we know ye!

Me: So, Dwight, now that you've seen the other side of the coaching coin---see also, Mike Pringles D'Antoni---(James Brown voice) do you see the light?

    Angelic choir: HALLELUJAH....HALLELUJAH.....

    Dwight: The Stan....

Me: Do you see the light?

    Dwight: THE.....STAN!!!!

Me: Do you see the light?

Dwight: YES! JESUS H. TAP-DANCING CHRIST! I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT! (handstands the length of the church and back)

Dwight's scumbag agent Fegan: What light?

Dwight: Don't you see, Dan? Stan Van Gundy! James Harden! The Rockets!

Fegan: Stan Van Gundy? The Rockets?......THE ROCKETS! (starts goose-step blues dance)

****apologies for the JC quote, but I would hope that even He would laugh at the Blues Brothers****

Why would you guys want the "Master of Panic" Stan Van Gundy?

He had to be let go from the Heat so Pat Riley could coach them to a championship

The best thing about McHale is he's a player's coach and players LOVE McHale for the most part.

In the front office, not as coach....yet.

This roster will be complete in maybe two years. Phil in as consultant for McHales last year and then he can take over once McHales contract is up, if he wants too.

    LMAO, this is ridiculous.

So after you completely throw your current head coach under the bus in the middle of the 2012 season and constantly complain about how most of the reasons for your losses have been on him (not talent level ), NOW you want to have a "new-found" respect for the guy?!?!? WTF?

I guess after dealing with the likes of Mike Brown and Mike D'Antoni you're prone to reminisce on how good things were when you had a more than competent coach.

I'm quickly finding myself jumping off this DH to Houston bandwagon more and more every day.

    F**k Dwight, go after Love.

As much as I'd love SVG here, I'd feel terrible rooting for McHale to step down because of his daughter.

    So hopefully he's just fired.

Mike Brown and Cleveland were able to re-kindle their relationship. I'd love to see JVG back here.
