Hats off to Patrick Beverly, the main reason we stayed competitive all night long. Period.

He showed up as a tough as nails, understands the situation, kind of player James Harden can go to war with. Saturday night I mean.

Sorry Lin hurt himself. Hope he can play Saturday.

Harden is efficient. My first post was in response to someone questioning if it was ok for Lin to start out the season shooting woefully after signing his contract.

But I'll also add, it's much easier to get to the line when you're role isn't to camp for corner threes 50% of the time you're on the court.

Not my intent to discredit Harden. Just trying to point out obvious hypocrisy.

Patrick's better than Avery Bradley. Better 3 point shooter, much better rebounder (defensive and offensive).

Beverley actually shot the ball well tonight. I had always said that he needs to shoot more.

just a comparison that is legit...btw Beverly is a below avg shooter, his only weakness, bc he is an excellent defensive PG..

Fair enough. Though Bradley himself isn't exactly Ray Allen either.

Lucky? Patrick Beverly is like Eric Bledsoe of the clippers, maybe not as explosive, but plays harder and better at D.:p

Hope Lin's ok but Beverley/Brooks seems like a lethal combo.

Brooks wasn't particularly good. Like some said, Lin looked like he was just getting comfortable in the first 2 quarters. He's usually a good finisher. Sorry not to see him play out the game.

That being said, Brooks is a veteran. He definitely can be productive but needs a little bit more game time to get back in the flow.

Funny thing, I was watching some old LeBron highlights including the 2003 MacDonalds HS invitational. Lo and behold, guess who's one of the PG. Aaron Brooks looks exactly the same. Chris Paul was there too but wasn't touted as a superstar in the making.

Beverley is starting to look like a do it all type of player. It looked like he was guarding three different positions that game.

Brooks? I thought Brooks didn't play too well tonight.

Beverley/Lin have looked like a lethal combo at times this season.

Beverley: Effort 200%, Lock down defender, Hustle and Rebounding...
    Lin: Effort 110%, Penetration, Playmaker...

    I like this backcourt rotation:
Start - PG Bev SG Lin SF Harden
Bev rest - PG Lin SG Harden
Lin rest - PG Bev SG Harden
Harden rest - PG Bev SG Lin

If we can keep two of the three on the court at all times and start and finish with all three, I think that's a really solid backcourt that could work for the future.

With Lin/Beverly/Harden our backcourt is set!!!!!
    The are still improving!!!!!

If we can sign Josh Smith somehow with a reasonable contract.....
This team is one of the contenderss
