Warriors are just shooting lights out. Doubt they can sustain it for the series. Denver wins in 7 imo
Denver's defense has been Washington Generals level, and they have been shooting the 3 ball very well too by their standards.
I bet Denver wins in less than 7. Maybe David Lee being injured made them overconfident and they needed to get complacency kicked out of them. Their stunning lack of intensity on defense tonight should shame them.
Wasn't it the last time the Warriors were in the playoffs when they upset the Mavericks? What's with the Warriors pulling upsets on heavily-favored teams?
God why did we have to choke. Although its unlikely we wouldve beaten Denver, we couldve taken this series to 6 games at least. People overestimated Denver in comparison to elite teams such as OKC and Denver. Oh and I feel like OKC's crowd is much better than Denver's

So, the 3/17 HOU vs. GSW game, a blowout loss at home, may have turned out to be the one game that decided the respective playoff destinies of each team. Had HOU won that game, like they did the prior 3 games vs. GSW, but the rest of the results remained the same, HOU would have ended in 6th place-- winning a tie breaker vs. GSW and having one win ahead of the lakers-- and facing a hobbled (but still dangerous) Denver team. Not that HOU would be favored, but at least they'd have a more realistic chance than they do against OKC (even Morey admits that OKC is the strongest team in the West).
Losing Lee may benefit the Warriors, at least against the Nuggets. Barnes can play the 4 spot like a 3 man (outside shooting / slashing). Lee did some of that but Barnes is just much quicker. I don't think the Warriors can sustain 65% shooting but the Nuggets were giving us a lot of open shots.
How so? Lee's game is outside shooting and occasional post play. But he struggles against athletic 4's and wasn't having a great game on Saturday when he went out. Barnes is quicker at the 4 spot and can dribble better than Lee. Regardless of what you think, the Warriors are going to be without Lee and have to play without him.
or you've underestimated the potential of the warriors. the youth excuse only goes so far, the rockets just seem lacking in fit and talent, than just experience.
Lee still got 14 rebounds game 1...and he didnt have a good game, but curry had a worse game 1 than lee did....curry with his 5 or 6 turnovers and shot poorly from the field....if curry shot like he did in game 1, warriors would have had a tough time winning tonight's game too
Without Lee and without a player in double figure rebounds tonight, the Warriors out rebounded the Nuggets 36-26 tonight. So your point in moot. We'll see how the series plays out. But for one night, the TEAM did it's job. Don't get me wrong, I like Lee. I have is jersey (signed by Lee also). I feel bad for him as he finally made the playoffs and is out so quickly. But the Warriors will have to make do. If Barnes plays like he did tonight and the bench steps up, the Warriors can do well.
This is all hypothetical. Why not just beat the Lakers and you guys finish 7th? Or how about the Phoenix game you guys lost? Even if you beat the Warriors, who says the results would all remain the same? Seriously, what the Warriors did tonight in Denver was play team ball. There wasn't a lot of one-on-one (except for Jack). THe Rockets CAN play team ball and showed it in spurts. But for whatever reason, they go into ISO mode a lot and that is working well. If you guys go back to team ball, I think you guys can do better against OKC.
I used to think that the Rockets were the better team after the team whooped the Warriors' asses both in the Toyota Center and in the Oracle Arena, but these recent stretch of games had made me reconsider that thought. The Warriors have a lot of good and young talents, as well as veterans presence and they seemed to play better and better as the team enter the playoffs, while the Rockets appeared to have regressed. It doesn't hurt that they actually implement and execute their plays almost impeccably. I know it is silly to put Denver on the same level as OKC, but I think if the situation was reversed and we play Denver, we would still lose while the Warriors could take at least a game or two against OKC, given both teams' current performances.
