Yeah, I'm sure other teams GM's are reading Clutchfans and basing their evaluations on the commentary of fans.

Based on twitter the other night, the last thing to worry about is Rocket's fans ... Jeremy was trending and not in a good way. Those weren't from Rocket's fans, in fact many Rocket's fans were defending him.

Sac don't need a PG. If anything they have too many point guards. Pelicans don't need Asik they have Anthony Davis. Asik brings no offensive game whatsoever, same as Anthony Davis. So why would they bring him in trading away Eric Gordon their best offensive weapon in order to clog up the paint for Anthony Davis?

especially not after Morey blew the cap space on Kevin Love. Rockets might have the space to sign CP3 or Howard assuming they decline Garcia and move one of Lin / Asik (corresponding to whoever they bring in. ) but Love cost way more than Dmo + Robinson.

Cap for next year (no idea yet, but assume slight increase by maybe 2 M, taking it to 60) = around 6 M before any moves

    Declining Garcia = 12M space

Trading Lin + Dmo + Robinson takes it to 25M

Getting Love brings it back to 11 M

Your not going to sign CP3 with 11M, you might be able to extend CP25 with that I guess.

I think a move for Cousins is actually possible to an extend, mainly because Sac Town is stupid. so someone's gonna fleece them.

Sounds difficult, but not bad if it all worked out. What's the thought on Wesley Johnson starting, though? I think he's terrible.

If its as obvious to the thousands on twitter, how clear is it to GMs across the nation?

I'm sure he has value, but to think he will net us a player like Paul Millsap or DeMarcus Cousins for him? That's pushing it.

    Trade #1:
    HOU gets: Pau Gasol
    LAL gets: Terrence Jones, Cash

    Why Houston does it?
    - We need an upgrade at PF, obviously. Gasol is an experienced veteran who I think we would be great for us. He would be a complete upgrade at the PF spot. I think this is better than committing money to Josh Smith, Al Jefferson, or Paul Millsap (I think Howard is staying in LA). He also gives us financial flexibility for a future trade OR gives us a bunch of cap room to pursue someone like Demarcus Cousins or Chris Bosh in 2014 (both of which might be available through FA or Trade).

    Why LA does it?
    - The Lakers are about to be in cap room/luxury tax/financial hell. I think they will either amnesty Gasol or look to trade him. We are easily the best trade suitor in this situation. Obviously picking him up off amensty would be ideal so we do not have to give away Jones. But, if not, I think this trade is fair. LA gets a ton of financial relief without taking on big contracts in return.

Now, we can keep this lineup for 2013-2014 and see how it goes...
    Lin/Beverely
    Harden/Anderson
    Parsons/FA
    Gasol/Robinson/Motiej
    Asik/Smith

OR we can make one more big trade to set up a dynasty!

    Trade #2:
HOU gets: Eric Bledsoe, Kevin Love, Deandre Jordan
HOU gives: Pau Gasol, Jeremy Lin, Thomas Robinson, Royce White, Donatas Motiejunas, 2 st round draft picks ('14 and '15 or '16)

MIN gets: Jeremy Lin, Thomas Robinson, Royce White, 2 1st round draft picks
    MIN gives: Kevin Love

LAC gets: Pau Gasol, Donatas Motiejunas
LAC gives: Deandre Jordan, Eric Bledsoe

    Why Houston does it?
Bledsoe is a PG on the rise and I think he will play better alongside Harden (something Lin has struggled with a lot this year) and has more upside than Lin. Bledsoe just needs opportunity, much like Harden did before Morey brilliantly traded for him. He plays great defense, likes to run, can knock down threes...fits our offense perfectly. This guy is going to be a stud when he gets a chance, even CP3 said he was the real deal. Kevin Love also fits very well in our offense as a perfect stretch 4. Deandre Jordan is more of a throw-in so LAC can shed a expensive contract...but it would be sweet hometown reunion and he also would fit our offense well as well as provide great D.

    Why MIN does it?
This mostly relies on Love asking to get out. If he does, we have a chance at getting him. Lin will put fans in the seats and make them a lot of money (I know they are crowded at PG, but Barea and Ridnour can be moved). They get young talent (Robinson) and some 1st round draft picks (probably early-mid 20s) to use as assets in another trade or to develop. Again, this will probably only happen if Love asks for a trade.

    Why LAC does it?
The Clippers almost traded Bledsoe/Jordan for Garnett this year. Gasol is similar to Garnett in many ways, so hopefully they will consider it again. They dump a really expensive contract (Jordan) and get a proven vet for a one year rental that should give them cap space in 2014 to add one more young talented piece to the core of Paul/Griffin/Crawford. Also, Motiejunas provides them with a stretch 4 that could develop into a good player for them.

The NEW lineup for 2013-2014 Rockets:
    Bledsoe/Beverly
    Harden/Anderson
    Parsons/FA
    Love/Jordan/Smith
    Asik/Jordan/Smith

Bledsoe, Parsons, Asik, and Jordan off the bench provide us with much improved defense. Harden/Love form a deadly pick-and-roll/pop combination that will put up a lot of points. Bledsoe is an upgrade over Lin in my opinion and fits much better with this team. Love is obviously an upgrade over our plethora of young PFs. Our offense improves (which is scary) and our defense becomes way way better...and we are still very young, and would possibly be able to keep all our starters for awhile (expect for maybe Parsons, Morey will have to work some magic). Our bench is very thin outside Jordan/Beverly, but we would have one of the best starting 5s in the league.

Let me know what y'all think.

Minny is so nice. Not only they will trade their best player just to fill out a few seats, they are even willing to take White off our hand. Merry Christmas to you too Minny!

Lin is the SG. Haven't you watched Rockets? Besides, he shoots a whole lot better than Rubio!

The second one isn't happening, but this first one is a likely possibility, even Bill Simmons suggested something like that (switching T-Jones with D-Mo). in his lastest BS report with Zach Lowe.

I've been suggesting this for awhile, as I assume Dwight would reup, which means the jigs is most likely up for Paul as Nash is unmovable. while Pau, at 19M 1 year, is a solid gamble especially if you see no one you like in the longer term.

Add future draft pick filler as necessary -
    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=a2bogwg

    HOU in: Love, Ridnour
    LAL in: Lin, TRob, DMo
    MIN in: Gasol

It makes more sense for MIN to get Gasol since Rubio has stated he is "more than welcome" to go there and to also reunite Lin with D'Antoni.

This is again a modified version of Alvin Choo's pre-trade deadline post under: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=7598461&postcount=1995

This is not possible simply because if Love can be acquired for just Pau then the Lakers would trade Pau for Love and keep Love. The only way Pau can be used as trade bait for Love is if Pau is traded to Houston prior to Love being on the trade market.

    HOU IN: Love, Bledsoe
HOU OUT: Parsons, Lin, T-Rob, T-Jones, 2014 1st Round Pick

LAC IN: Parsons, T-Jones, Malcom Lee
    LAC OUT: Bledsoe, Grant Hill

MIN IN: Lin, T-Rob, Grant Hill, 2014 1st Round Pick
    MIN OUT: Love, Malcom Lee

Why Houston would do it: Obvious reasons. No need to beat a dead horse, but we need a PF upgrade that can score inside too. Bledsoe is an athletic, up-and-coming PG that plays great defense as well. Possibly a Harden situation where he just needs to start to thrive. Plus, Beverley has been great so losing Lin isn't a huge hit.

Why LAC would do it: They need to add depth to the PF line. Right now they have nothing after Griffin, really, and have already shown interest in getting a PF. T-Jones has potential to be very good, but doesn't need to start. Parsons is a great SF on a low contract, where they have an aging Butler on a pretty big contract. He'd be an upgrade. They don't need Bledsoe really if Paul resigns.

Why Minnesota would do it: They need a SG. Lin is obviously more of a SG if you've watched Houston play this year, and he's much better than Ridnour and can play at the point when Rubio is out. Lin will also bring in revenue, which any owner wants. T-Rob has a lot of potential, and Derrick Williams can play SF or PF (a hole left by Love's absence). Grant Hill balances salaries and gives a veteran presence in the locker room.

Here's the Trade Machine if you want to visualize it: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=az5ggyd

Asik + DMO + TRob + our 2nd Rounder + a Future first whenever we can give one up for either Love or LMA

Cut Delfino + Garcia + Anderson + Smith + Whoever else to Make Room for Dwight (sign them later if you want)

    Sign Tony Allen

    Fill in the rest.

    Lin/Beverly
    Harden / Allen
    Parsons
    Love or LMA / TJones
    Howard

Who is coming out worse for it? Bledsoe and Love are ticking time bombs to leave. The Clips get plenty of value back for Bledsoe. So is it Minnesota? Another pick?

If you really want a homer trade...

Houston out: James Harden, Jeremy Lin, Chandler Parson, Omer Asik, Royce White

    Houston in: Lebron, Bosh, Wade

Why Houston does it: instant championship
Why Miami does it: they really want Royce White

Hey, it could happen.......right? Someone? Anyone? Bueller? Darool Morai?
