Do you like how McHale developed Lin this season?

Tony Parker wanted to kill Popovich during his early years. How much things have changed.

You shift from accusing the poster a liar to this.

Maybe you should hold yourself accountable like you should with your number one man.

    Comprehension problem?

In what part of any of my posts did I question Harden's max deal?

Plenty of posters here alluded that Jeremy didn't play up to his contract level (8 million / year) in the first game of the playoffs. Reeko was one of the loudest and clearest proponents of this. Heck, Reeko said Jeremy Lin got "Kelvin Cato-ed" aka he was given a wrong contract size and was totally not worth his 8 million a year.

My counterpoint was that almost everyone who saw the floor that game did not play up to their contract level. Including "superstar", "best shooting guard in the league" and "max player" James Harden. If the first game of the playoffs (and the last few games of the season) are any indication of his future performance here, that's an even bigger "Kelvin Cato" example (you are paying someone 16 million - 18 million a year to produce those kind of numbers and show that kind of leadership and example?).

But this one game (and the last few games of the season) should not give rise to any knee jerk questioning of Harden's contract. Similarly, this standard should apply to Lin too.

In short, just because of one game, various knee-jerking fools on this board use this opportunity to crawl out of the woodwork and jump on a player that they do not like or support. Some with both feet and razor sharp stilettos (Reeko, King1, etc.). One poster started a thread categorically blaming the whole loss on Lin. Others in this thread say that Lin is totally not worth his contract. Their double standards and hypocrisy are disgusting, to say the least. It is very sad to see the fools drown out the sensible voices on this board. Heck, some of them have plenty of green bars under their name too.

So in short, in no way am I criticizing Harden. Thus, firstly, go back to school and pass your comprehension exams for real. Secondly, I have been a supporter of the Rockets for a long long time. Just because I speak up in support of Lin does not mean I am a LOF. Please take your LOF nonsense and shove it somewhere else, thank you.

No doubt that Harden was the worst thing that could happen to those hoping for "Linsanity". Even Lowry/Dragic's numbers would be lower with Harden getting the majority of the touches and playing hybrid PG/SG.

Whoever it is, we need a PG that is compatible with Harden. Lin right now isn't compatible for any system because his jump shot is too inconsistent.

Well you can't be sure that nothing exists, perhaps subconsciously?

    Talking about watching Linsanity:

McHale said. “I thought he’d be a great energy guy on our team.” Man that was magical.’ But magic don’t last forever.”

That sounds somewhat bitter and presumptuous to me.

McHale is human, and it's understandable that his ego tries to compensate.

I'm not saying I'm a subscriber, just saying it's not out of the realm of possibility. On the other hand, this won't last forever and a temporary obstacle might be a good thing; he's just going to prove his doubters and haters wrong again and again, and again.

Or you can read it as he was setting realistic expectations to the fans and media, etc so no one would hate on Lin and the team for not being able to recreate what happened last season with Lin.

Lin can get better if he does what Yao did and play for China`s national squad. This is how he can improve his skills.

I agree with what you are saying mostly, but my post is regarding development during the regular season. That night I don't think Lin deserved that much playing time. Heck, he might have played better if he was benched more and had time to reflect. At least that is what normally happens during regular season.

Good one, I don't get why the expectations are so unrealistic. How could anyone expect this young and unathletic team beat a great team like OKC at their home court? And then get extremely upset and throw tantrums at their players? Deluded Narcissism? Fast food culture? Appreciation, positivity and patience.

You're right - no way they have enough experience right now to beat OKC. I wouldn't say they are unathletic though. Lin is the fastest player in the last 4 years to play in Houston. Harden is fast and has a great vertical jump. Asik is big and strong, Smith and Jones are strong and good jumpers. If they play as a team they have the potential to beat anyone. The last time they played OKC they won. The problem is poor defense which with proper coaching and effort can be corrected. The other problem is too much 1 on 1 which can also be corrected. The team probably could use another big but other than that they could be contenders with the right coach.

The problem is they need a proven big-time coach. McHale at this point is holding them back from reaching their true potential.

True, true, I was thinking about "not as athletic", "under-athletic" but decided on "unathletic" for convenience's sake. Now I would have probably put "relatively unathletic".

What I meant was that OKC is more athletic than the Rockets. Usually old teams beat young teams with experience while young teams beat old teams with athleticism but OKC wins both, tough matchup.

I'm posting it because people are saying they get extremely upset thinking that someone wrongly accuses McHale of picking on Lin. I'm saying, no need to be so hyped, it's not impossible that he is picking on him. If that guy is a McHale homer I could totally understand. But otherwise, it's best to just let it slide.
