Triple double is always a great game no matter how ya put it, but 3-10 from the field ain't too impressive.

Paul George is a great player though, no doubt.

    Hes awesome all around.

His next step is to continue to improve his ball handling and start becoming more efficient and become a 20-25 ppg scorer.

Now lets lock this thread and get back to blaming McHale

I like Paul George's game a lot, and I think he'll be Harden's rival as best SG in 2-3 years. Honestly, I think he'll end up surpassing Harden, the guy's way too athletic and skilled not to become one of the best players in the league. Reminds me a lot of Tmac but hopefully without the heart, health and laziness issues.

What's especially encouraging is that one negative to PG's offensive game is that in the past when his jump shot wasn't falling he could disappear at the offensive end. His ball-handling needed to improve.

Well, in this game he was blowing by people off the dribble and exploding to the rim or finding open teammates.

Plus he was still playing arguably the best wing defense in the league.

    nice block by the way

He's about to show the world he's on Rudy Gay's level

    LOL

    He's just 22.

James Harden at age 22: 12.2 PPG

Plus George is a Pippen-like defender already.

Paul George is a small forward not a 2 guard. He played out of position his first two years because Granger was healthy.

I agree George is a beast but you realize Harden was coming off the bench at 22 right? You can't really compare their PPG because Harden was the spark off the bench instead of scoring option

How is this even remotely comparable?

He's never going to get to that top level of players. He might be on a rudy gay or joe johnson level for a while but that's about it.

George has slightly better per-36 minutes production too at the same age.

I know Harden is revered here, I think though that they are comparable at the same age on offense and George is miles ahead on defense.

Harden obviously took a huge leap this year at age 24.

Personally I think George's ceiling on O is similar and on D it is way way higher, but time will tell.

You are comparing the stats of a first option to a third option.
