Will came from streets of Philly and played with and against the rich prep schools of Bel-air. Believe me, ISO-Will > team ball bel-air academy.
Amen! For example, surely the coaches have told the players to avoid stupid turnovers. But the players make stupid turnovers anyway. You can't just say "Another turnover! OMG bad coaching. . . . Harden went 3 for 19. Great game plan, McFail!" As for Ibaka, he is a stud and if the Thunder didn't have him they would not be top seed in the west.
Ibaka is right, but he's not just referring to Harden. Lin tried to ISO. Parsons tried to create his own shot even though he can't. It's not cause our guys are selfish but just due to our coach not having an offensive gameplan.
Serge Ibaka spoke the truth and the truth hurts! Let's nominate Ibaka for the Coach of the Playoff Week award!:grin::grin:
It's pure coincidence that we are a top offensive team.... Or maybe we just need to replace our offensive assistant coach Chris Finch? Or maybe you are one of those people that thinks the head coach does all the planning and preparation?
Harden is most guilty, but Lin and Parsons are also guilty. But, if someone was to go ISO, it had better be Harden. Lin and Parson's just don't match up athletically against OKC. It's clear as night and day. They need to pick their spots better.
Because I'm a 10ft superhuman giant that has been banned and discriminated against by the league, which is why I have been relegated to posting on CF during work.... p.s. If you can't tell I was just being sarcastic and a silly b****, then let me tell you now; I'm just being a silly b****.
Of course constant use of isolation is bad, and Harden is guilty of it. I'm poking fun at the hypocrisy of the whole situation.
Until recently and for most the regular season, this Rockets team received high praise for its ball-sharing, high pace style of play, leading us to be one of the highest scoring teams in the NBA. We are not Sacramento, a team known to have players only interested in padding their own stat sheets. No team is perfect and no single game is perfect. So, some of you guys, especially some posters who I can barely recognize, are just nut hugging by some opposing player derogatory comments at the expense of the Rockets??? To you I say: GTFO, you are no Rockets fan. Your altruistic motives are as clear as water to me. To be sure, we have not played well the last few games, going back to the regular season, but it is not because we are ALL OF A SUDDEN selfish. Do not freely use a label that we do not deserve. Smh...
Ibaka seems to be correct in his assessment. Now, here's hoping that the Rockets put in Thomas Robinson and he takes an ejection for the team by popping that arrogant f**ker right in his mouth. You don't say that about other teams, no matter what you think. So, with all due respect to Serge, I hope we go old school and knock his f**king block off.
I agree with this. With the personnel changes this season, its been really tough and going against a team that has a lot of confidence, chemistry, tenure and talent... I see how easy it is to forget the plays (and we do have them, evidently people have forgotten our thread about them) and just try and make the shots. It was obvious that is what was going on and Ibaka's statements indicate that was part of their gameplan. I'm hoping that in the next game, they have all shaken off the nerves and not let the Thunder intimidate them as much. This board goes nuts when Harden creates shots and makes assists, I hear nothing but "he is not a point guard". But when Kobe does it I guess its a different story. LOL
He's not entirely right. It's not about being selfish. It's about being out-coached. Our offense being limited is more about coaching than personal agendas on the court.
