It's our backcourt. How many times have we see Lin with an oppurtunity to pass on a fast break but he would rather score the 2 himself? I remember when point guards would rather get the dime in that type of open play. Harden can be selfish too.
Sorta. We are playing one of the most athletic and best teams in the NBA. They are forcing us to hold the ball more than we should, that's what teams like the Thunder do.
you make it sound like it's either iso or nothing with all of our players... harden goes iso, nothing there, so lin goes iso, nothing there, so parsons goes, etc... it's a 5 on 5 game, not 1 on 5, going down the list from no1 to no2 and so on. the TEAM needs to move the ball and work for a good shot whether it's coming from harden or asik. when our offense flows, you don't know where the scoring is coming from - it looks like there are open 3's everywhere and the lane is wide open to harden and lin. that's all a result of the ball and personnel moving to the D to move and create open shots for each other. there. is. real. talent. on. this. team. you don't win 45 games by one superstar going iso with the rest standing around. when we don't move the ball, we suck. when we move the ball and get open looks, we win. simple as that. the question is - after 82 games, do the players know "how" to move the ball against certain D? it's a read and react offense, so are they reading the D's correctly?
It is not often when an opposing player disparages another team during a playoff series. Disrespectful to say the least.
Lin took one three pointer about 5 feet beyond the three point line with 6 or 7 seconds on the clock. That made me really mad. I thought he was smarter than that.
Jesus Christ the GARM has become amatuer hour for all the arm chair GMs. My cousin with a learning disability can see plainly that the Rockets are simply outclassed in just about every aspect of the game. Keep it up haters.
Worth noting that he shoots the most free throws in the league, and missed attempts when fouled don't count toward your total. Not that it takes away from your point, but it probably bumps him up a spot or two.
We tried to play team ball at first. But the intensity of the Thunder D gave us no chance. Every play ended up ISO. We are just not good enough to compete with them.
OKC defense was too good. It made the Rox scare to pass because of TOs. After the players handle the pressure, they will pass more.
Harden, Lin and parsons all had iso moments in game one when the thunder switched on screens. None of the 3 were effective.
He speaks truth. I like it, league needs more players who tell it like it is. I want guys to hate other players on the other team.
I don't think there should be a **** storm. I think the thread title made it seem worse than the intent of the coment from Ibalka but he is right. Houston is not a great half court team and when oppossing defenses push up the pressure, the Houston ball handlers tend to put on blinders and the ball gets sticky. It's one of the things McHale has been complaining about all year.
Ok, so he pretty much said that their defense forced the Rockets to play a selfish, 1 on 1 style of offense. He didn't say that the Rockets are a selfish team.
