Is this really the best way for the NBA to announce these awards -- leaked to a journalist to report on Twitter?

That makes four players in the last 12-13 years for the Pacers lol.
Jalen Rose, Jermaine O'neal, Danny Granger and, Paul George.

a related fun fact: the Pacers haven't had a single digits (1-9) draft pick since the 80s.

it's a circle of never tanking, no high picks, finding bargains, developing them and getting low picks again. And so for 25 years.

No whiteboys for Harden indeed. Except Parsons, he's the exception

Vicious cycle of mediocrity. Worse than the Rockets of the last several years.. Pacers are better this year, but they're not sniffing a ring with their core of players.

But on the plus side, they have 2 former MIP swingmen in George & Granger, they should add Aaron Brooks and Hedo and have a MIP-arty.

IF Granger gets better, maybe... Otherwise, it's scary.

This whole situation reminds me of Reggie Miller / Rik Smits / Chuck Person in the early 90s. With Granger being the new Person - a guy who carried bad Pacers teams for years and then he was gone right when the Pacers got two young all stars and could really use Person.

to be fair to the Pacers, from 94 to 2004 they were hardly mediocre and was basically perennial contenders. So of course the draft picks in these years will be low and basically useless. Their rebuilding phase lasted from 05 till 2010.

I was hoping that he wouldn't have busted out before Morey had a chance to throw mad money at him.

RIP Paul George's career. It's a shame I liked his game.

So happy Harden or Asik didn't get it.
