Anything is better than a high school-esque "bobcats"

Seattle already said if they bring an NBA team back, they will buy the Sonics name and history back to them. :)

    Better than Pelicans...

    Oh wait.

Sorry, but Charlotte Hornets were hardly relevant to the NBA. Never made it past the second round.

I'd just as soon stick with Bobcats. Going back to Hornets causes essentialist problems. The Charlotte Hornets of today wouldn't be the same Charlotte Hornets that left the city.

Bring back the Charlotte Hornets. Glen Rice, Zo, Bogus, Grandmama, Eddie Jones, David weasly... Miss that franchise.

More worried about the Rockets bringing back the uniform than Charlotte Hornets making a comeback.

Dropped my kid off at basketball practice last night and saw a guy wearing a purple Charlotte Hornets Larry Johnson jersey.

Coincidence? I think not. Except it probably is.

The Browns immediately changed their name when they left Cleveland, so you never had Browns playing anywhere else. Chris Paul is a famous former Hornet, but not a Charlotte Hornet. That's a pain in the ass. Maybe the source of some interesting trivia questions 20 years from now. But, why not just move forward instead of back? The old Hornets were pretty cool, but they're dead and gone. Calling this new franchise the Hornets won't bring Grandmama back.

It's not about bringing him back. It's about bringing Hugo back and the purple and teal. It's their team.

Can you imagine if New Orleans were the Rockets and we had a new franchise named i dunno..the Houston Astronauts...and they were awful. Would you not beg for your franchise to take back the Rockets name and history?
