Well deserved, it could have gone to him or Paul George.

Remember how thrown off everyone was last year when Tyson won?

Marc is what his brother has never managed to be: a true franchise player. It is also interesting to see the different developmental path taken by each of them: Pau the refined big man with finesse post moves but mediocre D coming directly from the Euroleague, Marc the big bruiser who impacts both ends and who came through the American high school system. For once, a lopsided Lakers trade managed to not be a complete steal as Marc in the end was the brother with the bigger upside.

Um, wow. I'd rather have Marc now, but 3-4 years ago I would have taken Pao over today's Marc. Pao was and in many ways IS a still a better player than Marc.

Lol so much hate for Pau on this board. He is probably still the most skilled big man today.

2 rings and a finals appearance with Pau. Lakers win.

Let's not go too overboard on praising Marc over Pau. They're simply different players. I would take either of them in their prime (Marc now, Pau a few years ago).

He and Bosh have become incredibly underrated over the years. They are definitely both mentally soft, but they can play.

to me duncan was the dpoy. Not only his team was one of the top 5 defensive teams, he also have the stats to back it down... wich sadly marc gasol dosent have. Dont get me wrong, i do think gasol is a great defender and its not like this is a steal, i just though duncan deserved more.

Marc Gasol plays more minutes and games. A significant amount more. Memphis' defense was better than the Spurs as well.

But there's a good argument for Duncan, Iggy, Paul George, Roy Hibbert and even Joakim Noah.
