That would be great if only Lin gets dominated again in the next 2 games. Rockets might just have a chance to win one or two games against OKC. It doesn't take a brain to know that this current Rockets is not championship material. Wait a couple of years and you can say, "Lin is waaaaaay off."

looked like a deer caught in headlights. as constructed, he has to play well for them to beat a good team. Can't expect James to score 45 points to beat them.

Like Barkley said this same rockets team can play this same OKC team 3-4 years later and still get their butts kicked. Lin will still be waaaaay off. Been watching basketball too long not to know he's not a young Tony Parker, Steve Nash or even Goran Dragic. This is not Rocky the movie it is real life Lin is not there and won't get there... Now if he can play point guard without turning the ball over so much with decent defense then ok it's not that bad.

I damn near kicked my tv when he threw that cross court pass for a turnover. that 1:46 stretch did us in and it was pretty much the Lin Show!

I was so frustrated because I expect Lin to play smart at least but to me it seemed like he panicked and did things that were so stupid it made you think ok this guy is scared and not ready to play.

lol get a grip, this team isnt talented enough. parker wouldnt look like a championship PG on this team. Let's take a look at the last couple "championship PGs the last few years"

    2012- Mario Chalmers
    2011- old JKidd....36% shooting, team's 9th leading scorer
    2010- Derek Fisher
    2009- Derek Fisher
2008 - pre-emergence of Rondo....remember people actually felt like they won in spite of him. He shot 41% in the playoffs 10.2 points, 6.6 assists.
2007- tony parker, finally an elite pg, and it actually took him, prime manu, and the greatest PF of all time to get the title
2006-Jason Williams (white chocolate), enough said

so the last 7 years, you have 1 pg who's actually considered a stud at the time.

We played against a top seed team. Tell me how that does not relate to the rockets game

ever heard of a thing called player development?? Did you watch Goran season right after he blew up in the playoffs? he was freaking terrible in 2011 after making a splash in 2010, you think it happened overnight??

Lin's defense is already descent and his turnovers were cut down as the season went on. IF you expected him to come to Houston and drop 20-8 a game right out the gate that's your own fault. 13-6 is about right for the first year. Obviously you didnt watch much of Goran this year, he had pretty much the same amount of turnovers as Lin.

Of course Lin can become a championship caliber point guard, but of course he isn't there yet. I don't know why you would expect what is essentially a second year player to already be at a championship contending level.

I wouldn't expect this team to contend next season either barring a huge acquisition like Dwight. But the season after that... the game will be on.

Now you're acting like one of those LOF that think Linsanity is a finished product. Lin's now does not equal to Lin 2 or 3 years in the future. If a couple of years from now, Lin is still average, I'll buy you a drink and we can talk about the good old days on clutchfans forums.

Wait, why does Lin need to be Tony Parker/Steve Nash for us to contend for a championship? You're being silly Cstyle. We already have a superstar, his name is James Harden... Lin just needs to be a good starting PG, not a star.

We'll get ready to see my drunk face 2-3 years down the line. I think there is a better chance that Lin gets hurt then him actually getting a whole lot better then what he is now. I see him getting smarter mentally with experience outside that he would have to overcome folding up under heavy aggressive defense pressure.

No I didn't say he needed to be those players I'm saying he's not those players. Too many people are hyping him up on this forum. I just want him to play smart with confidence last night severely disappointed me. I know the city of Houston expected more.

look at the history of the NBA....you're more likely to win titles if your elite players are big men or swing players.

Besides Tony Parker which elite PG has a title while they were still elite?

so basically you like to hate on someone a lot of other people like that you dont think deserves the attention.

Kid still works hard and doesnt let it get to his head, so get over it and move on. What good is Harden scoring 30 if he lets KD, Kevin Martin backdoor him all day for easy dunks and then you have THabo hitting 3's over him.

At least Lin came through on defense. Westbrook was 3-8 with him. 2 buckets were transition lays up and he hit a 3 with a hand in the face.

If Rocket fans didnt think they'd get smashed in at least 2-3 of their 4 losses then they're just need lay off the pipe.

young steve nash wasnt even all that good!! You got it confused in your head. When Steve Nash was Jeremy Lin's age, he was averaging 7.9 ppg, and 5.5 assists. You're telling me in 1998-1999 you said to yourself "hmm this guy is a stud!!" HELL NO!

Parker averaged 14.7 pts and 5.5 assists his 3rd year in the league and was getting yanked every other quarter by Pop for stupid plays. Parker shot 38%, had 14 ppg that playoff year, got tooled by JKidd half the time and TIm DUncan lead the team in assists in the playoffs!!

YOu see how good Steve Nash/Tony Parker is now and for whatever reason think they looked this great when they were young when that's not true. You want Lin to be great, but for some reason you won't give it time. That's what a "YOUNG" version of most great players are. Inconsistent with flashes of brilliance, then later on they put it all together.
