I'm not a Kobe fan but its hard not to believe the Lakers would've had a legit shot at beating the spurs at least for today if he were playing.

How are people talking trash about the Spurs in this thread? They are having their way with the Lakers and taking care of business. They would probably do the same thing to the Rockets if we were playing them. Be realistic.

There are some players who play average come regular season but once playoffs come by, it's full throttle and pedal to the metal!

I already voted it will be a sweep. Lakers don't have a closer and the Spurs have three.

I think the Rockets would have had a better chance against the Spurs though because our pace can get to them every once and awhile and Harden has pretty much proven to be a Spur Killer throughout his career even in OKC...and Asik matches up well with Duncan...

Lakers IMO don't have much of a chance without Kobe.

Not really. San Antonio's offense aside from the last few minutes has been pretty meh, and that's with Nash missing a lot of makable shots. I think the Lakers would be winning with Kobe right now.

Rockets could have stole one game in that series. But they can steal one in the thunder series too. As far as i'm concerned im happy i get to watch my team play four more games. But i wouldn't have any real expectations vs both teams.

I want the lakers to flame out and either amnesty gasol (so we can pick him up) or have dwight walk.

well oiled machine? You must be watching a different game than I am. A boring game and nobody can hit a shot other than Manu.

Every time I see Kawhi and Faried do well....it pains me that they could be Rockets...

Feels like the Spurs are being done in by the refs similar to what happened to the Rockets back then. The foul on Gasol is iffy at best.

I don't know if the Lakers can score 13 points for the rest of the game.

Man refs letting Lakers play on. Tacky fouls for Spurs.

I knew we couldn't go a whole game without some good ole' ref complaints, even when the Lakers have more than double the fouls and more FT's.

The reffing has been fine. There's always going to be some missed calls/no calls, but overall it's been very solid.

Rockets are 8th place for a reason.

That is all I will say about the matter.
