I have been a baseball fan since August 1986, and this really may be the worst team I have seen. I remember a horrible Padres team in the 80's and an Orioles and Brewer club that just sucked... and of course that Tigers team from 10-15 years ago... But this team has to be up there... Not Spiders or 62' Mets bad but still.

That Tigers team was god awful I believe their team ERA was over 5.00 and that was in Commerica before they moved the fences in.

I drove from Austin to San Antonio so that my dad and I could drive to Houston together. We made sure to get there two hours before game time because my dad really wanted one of those Altuve bobbleheads.

    Game time: 6:10.

    Game basically over: 6:30.

I was pretty pissed that I had to spend 7 hours driving yesterday to watch a game that was over with one out in the first inning.

Even more disappointing, however, was hearing the fans boo Humber as he walked back to the dugout.

I really thought our fans had more class than that.

Also, some people on the third base side started chanting "Astros suck" during the third or fourth inning.

There were a lot of Indians fans at the game, and I'd like to think it was them, but unless they all showed up and sat together, I know it was us.

The sale to Jim Crane started us down an ugly road, and I fully expect the Astros to be playing in another city within 5-10 years.

Astros aren't going anywhere. For one thing, their MMP lease runs through 2029. As long as their young players continue to progress through the minor leagues and Luhnow makes smart moves, they will be back in playoff contention within a few years.

They're better than last year's team

It is also important to remember, that they have played 9 games against playoff teams from last year as well as 3 games against the Angels, who many pick to win the West.

Tigers ERA was 5.30 for the whole season and to add to that they also had the worst offense in the AL.

At least he got that "giving up your first ML home run" out of the way quickly.

We are in the 8-11th range (out of 15 teams) in AL in offense depending on which metric your looking at. Not great, but not worst.

Pitch count. Still kind of monitoring him closely.

I just looked at that team's Baseball Reference page and after you look at all of the individual ERAs, it's hard to believe the team ERA wasn't higher.

Our own Steve Sparks was on that team and was one of the better pitchers on the staff. He had a 4.72 ERA in 89.2 innings.

yeah I was sitting on the third base line near the dugout and it seemed like there were LOTS of Indians fans there. It wasn't just a small concentration of them, they were everywhere. It was very surprising to me
