Yeah I say give T-Rob a chance, especially if KD starts getting on pace for 40+. At the very least he fouls out, but maybe he can rough him up a little.

Just based on the eye-test he looks like he has the quickness and agility to stay in front, the wingspan to bother his shots, not to mention he's like Beverley in showing aggression.

He might hurt the offense, but what does it matter if our late game offense lacks execution anyway and ends up in McHale's favorite play.

I don't know if TJones is ready to guard KD. Maybe putting Royce White on KD is a bit more realistic.

The Rockets already have an elite defensive stopper..... He can guard any position despite ability, height, weight, strength and he will most likely be guarding Durant and Westbrook at the same time. Yes, it will take both Durant and Westbrook to score against him. The man? Carlos Delfreakingfino

Jones on Ibaka would make more sense. Just hustling and winding out Ibaka would be good enough

I'm a huge TJones homer and have been saying the Rox should've been playing him all year but no way in hell should he be on Durant. Terrible idea.

I think that Beverley shouldn't play big minutes if it's Lin's minutes that he is taking. To have any chance for success our offense needs to be running good and that's not going to happen with Beverley playing big minutes.

Coach of the year decision! In real, to guard KD we don't need the best player, it may be Jones or DMo, or even Delfino. He is unguardable, but we need to be sure it's not open shots. Because of lenght it may be DMo, but he is terrible defender when it comes to defense out of screen. Jones is pretty slow and can foul out pretty fast, Delfino is too small. What about running 'zone defense'? It may work pretty well.

While I agree that TJ could be the X factor of this series, I don't think he can stop KD, or even play better D than Parsons on him. His main contributions should be to get Ibaka out to the perimeter, run the floor and use his athleticism and length, something we are at a disadvantage to OKC, to block shots, get offensive rebounds and dunks.

Take the Heat's approach to the way they defended Westbrook/Harden in the finals.

Heavy pressure on the ball should not allow OKC the time to run a set and setup screens to free up Durant for a wide open 3 or a catch and drive to the basket.

Lin needs to match Beverley's D. Constant pressure is going to frustrate Westbrook and OKC has no bigger Achilles then out of focus RW.

Terrence Jones and Thomas Robinson should both get 15-18 mins. Both defend well, great on help side, can block shots and pick up steals.

    9 man rotation

    Lin/Beverley
    Harden/Beverley
    Parsons/Delfino/Jones
    Smith/Jones/Robinson
    Asik/Smith/Robinson

Parsons is easily the best choice on KD. No one can stop KD put Parsons has done the best job of slowing him down. KD is way to quick for Jones, it would be a slaughter and KD would drop 50.

    Parsons should be on Durant.

    Chandler should be on Westbrook.
