Have you watched The Island? The twist is exactly the same there and in Oblivion.
So, the movie was a little too predictable for me, but it's definitely worth watching at the cinema. Great soundtrack and really an incredible visual experience.

    Bicycle Thieves (1948) 9/10

Such a simple but powerful neorealism film. This movie really hit you at the end. A true classic.

    I can agree
    but i gave it 6/10
    It was a bit predictable
and would have preferred more antagonists

I watched The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel again last night on cable. Such a terrific film. It reminds me of my time in Bangalore in the mid-'60's, when I rented a bike and rode all over the city. The place was far different than it is now. The street scenes in the flick took me back to the streets of Bangalore.

    8.5/10

    A Place Beyond the Pines - 9/10

Damn...what an awesome movie. Granted, I didn't have a clue what it was about so I didn't have any expectations, but I"m shocked how much I liked this movie. Really unique storytelling. Highly recommend!

Agreed, I give it a 9/10 as well. My sister wouldn't even discuss it with me until I saw it. Very original. Queued up the director's earlier flick Blue Valentine.

I also enjoyed Oblivion (7/10). Nothing classic, but for a $5 matinee, the escapism was very much worth it.

Different strokes for different folks. Ever been to India? Maybe that makes a difference.

I re-watched the first 30 minutes of The Golden Child with my older boy yesterday....I remembered it as a funny movie. We stopped 30 minutes in because it was awful. Does not hold up well.

I wonder what would happen if I were to re-watch The Goonies or Sandlot.

I re-watched Power Rangers the Movie (I was like 3rd grade when it came out) recently... and holy**** what the hell did I just watch?

I've rewatched both Sandlot and Goonies with my kids a dozen times...great movies. They hold up.

    Django - 7.5/10

I thought it was pretty funny. The constant use of the N word was kind of weird to hear. Christoph Waltz is hella entertaining.

    Django Uncahined - 5.9/10

Not what i expected, tried to be something it wasn't a comedy, and the N word was used constantly like comet said.

Oblivion 7/10 -- first half of the movie dragged, nice plot twist, and an underwhelming ending.
