Hey, Daryl Morey has a picture almost like that!

I think so. This team has a lot of promise.

No doubt Phil Jackson knows how to coach a team with multiple top 5 players on the roster, but I don't see any evidence at all that he knows how to put one of those teams together.

I only see evidence that he likes to join those teams after they were already assembled by someone else.

I'd honestly rather have Phil Jackson than Dwight, if it meant McHale would still be the coach. This team can and will work when Lin controls the ball, Harden takes the most shots, and everyone improves with the help of Phil.

I think whoever gets Phil, increases their chance of maybe stealing him from the Lakers.

Of course, he is arguably the best coach in NBA history. The Rockets would have to be crazy not to take him if he was interested. JVG would be awesome as well.

Edit: I think whoever gets Phil, increases their chance of maybe stealing Dwight from the Lakers. My fault

When exactly are you meant to teach a bunch of players with no chemistry and next to no experience advanced playsets?

Mcfail no teach plays like Pop with players who have played together for a decade, derp derp derp derp.

I'd actually look at Phil as like a consultant/director of coaching type thing, to try and improve the performance around the edges, whilst giving him the luxury of not having to involve himself in the day in day out grind and fly.

Biggest spiritual sign Phil is coming to the Rockets?

    http://deadspin.com/kobe-needs-a-distraction-phil-jackson-recommends-a-cra-476667294

    -----

The book Phil currently recommended to Kobe (and he may as well recommend to the Rockets fan-base)

@kobebryant read shantaram-great mysterious read of another culture-it will keep you occupied until game time. Patience is a virtue

    ----
What is that book you may ask about?

"an escaped prisoner from Australia named Lin who becomes an apprentice to a sort of philosopher-gangster in Bombay, India."

    -----
    For more references:
Prabaker (his guide and faithful friend) = James Harden
Khader Khan (mafia godfather, mentor to Lin) = Morey
Karla (Lin's best "friend") = Chandler Parsons
