I am not sure if anyone has noticed this. Lin recently started wearing mouth guard. However, it appears to me that he plays around with that thing quite a lot - during free throws, timeouts, fouls. He often takes it out and then puts it back in. Even as an audience, it feels pretty distracting to me, let alone how uncomfortable Lin feels about that himself. When you are on the court, it takes a high level of mental concentration. It is unclear whether his mouth guard habit has an impact on his play.
Many players have mouth guards and they take them in and out during time outs. Why does this worth a thread?

Lol. I guess my point was that it takes time to get used to wearing it, but currently it doesn't seem to me that Lin is comfortable with that.
I know right? I used to take my retainers on and off during pick up games and that salty taste after putting them back on was really distracting.
