Press conference from the Hawaii Film Festival, includes actor and staffer from Hawaii Five-O tv show, who lent their talents to the Linsanity movie project. Also a review from a Honolulu local: http://www.nonstophonolulu.com/stories/hiff-spring-showcase-linsanity/ And also a thumbs up from a nine-yr-old who hosts a children's radio program in Hawaii. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/niaandfriends/2013/05/05/linsanity-the-movie-presscon

A MUST SEE MOVIE FOR ALL @LinsanityMovie even for nine year olds
— Nia and Friends (@NiaandFriends) April 12, 2013
Guess that means there might be a few more children picking up basketballs after watching. And female fashion magazine editors seem to like it too.

Talented team behind @LinsanityMovie! OT... Beneath a shroud of secrecy, Houston Rockets PG Jeremy Lin made a 90-minute cameo Tuesday at the Tiger Palace, where he engaged in a pickup game with the seniors from Jesuit's 2013 Class 5A state title squad. According to a news release on Jesuit's website, the appearance was arranged in part by Tigers alumnus Nick Plasencia, a former Lin classmate at Harvard. A stipulation of the appearance, school spokesman Pete Young said, was that no local media be informed. "The guys were absolutely thrilled for the opportunity to play with an NBA player they could relate to," Tigers coach Neal Goldman said.
been trying to find/see it myself. its starting to look like its only being shown at festivals. hope thats not the case
There's a distribution deal in place to debut beyond just film festivals. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=238553 The article quotes the producer saying there's a distribution plan in place with the expectation of a debut in theaters around September for major American cities. So it should be coming to a theater near you, assuming you live in a major American city. Talks are still ongoing for with parties overseas. Not sure if they're trying to coordinate the overseas launch with the September date for the American theaters. http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/taiwan/archives/2013/05/04/2003561425
glad to see Lin making an aggressive offensive move against high school kids. hopefully he can do the same in the nba, you know considering he's an nba player. guess the injury is healed now?
I guess there's no I chance I'm going to see this in Australia anytime soon then. May have to take a holiday in Hawaii around September. Thanks for the great info guys, keep posting updates please.
September should be nice over here -- still hot but hopefully not too humid and we usually don't get much rain in September -- just nice early morning sprinkles. Now would be nice, we got the trade winds back this week and the sun has been out shinning Last week it was miserable if you're stuck in the office -- nice if you're at the beach
Aloha guys, Hooking up with Clutch Fans in Hawaii! That could be fun! I've actually been to Hawaii in late September. It was awesome. I stayed at the Hyatt on Waikiki, had a suite room with a majestic view of the ocean and beach. I'd love to go again and hook up with you guys but I was only joking when I said I'd do it for the Jeremy Lin movie. I'll see how things go, and if I can get some time off work this year, its definitely a possibility and I'll definitely contact you if I go. Are there any preseason games in Hawaii?
Are you in Hawaii? Jeremy was spotted at the Modern yesterday. Maybe you'll bump into him if you're on the same island
That looks like a view from the Hawaii Prince.....Yacht Harbor is on the backside ARghhhh -- why didn't he bring James Harden with him
Lack of positive Asian representation in the media IS a serious problem for many Asian Americans, especially since American society places great pressure on Asian kids to assimilate or be cast off as "FOBs". That, and the fact that Asian American history is ignored; for example, how many Asian American kids really know (or care) who Fred Korematsu is?
