Dunno about betting against the Heat, but that's a bad strategy for roulette since each spin is independent of the last . As for the Heat, you get decent odds on the crap teams, but you're not gonna get good enough odds on the more likely spots for the streak to end (@CHI, @SAS)... and using your CLE example, you'd only get 6 chances on crap teams until it's no longer profitable.

I'm back for a limited time only, lol. I haven't been following the lines as closely as I should so fading my picks may be profitable.

Raptors pick 'em - Seems like a sucker line for NYK.

OKC -13 They're due for a blowout win after a couple of subpar performances.

Hawks -4 (1st half) 4th game in 5 nights for Blazers. I'm not sure if Portland can continue their relatively high level play on the road. I look for Atl to come out strong.

Griz -3.5 (1st half) Hornets don't have a good track record of covering spread at home and Memphis has been playing well. I can see NO coming back and playing strong in the 2nd half, which is why I went with Memphis in the 1st half to cover.

Rockets -12.5 Cavs have been playing well minus their three best players, but that's been at home. I think reality will catch up to them tonight and they'll be blown out hopefully.

T-Wolves +3 No Dudley and no O'Neal coupled with Minny playing better recently has me thinking they'll cover tonight. Also, the T-Wolves have gotten AK47 and Peckovich back.

Spurs and Jazz over 199 San Antonio games have all gone under with the exception of one since Parker has been out. He's back tonight and I think we'll see a relatively high scoring affair.

Lakers -9 I really don't like betting against the Wiz when it comes to the spread, but no Bradley Beal is no bueno for them. Gasol and Kobe should be back and I think sheer emotion will carry the Lakers to a victory tonight. Hopefully, they can contain Wall and cover the spread.

Edit: Shaping up to be a massacre tonight, yikes

Double Edit: 3-5 Rough night... It could have been lot worse I suppose. This is just another reminder of why I need to continue to stay away at least until the playoffs start.

Lol good games tonight in college. I'm playing all four games tonight.

    College

Marquette (+6) marquette has been playing like crap so I see where there's definite value in the points. Reggie Johnson is out for Miami so they will be missing a big man, but I don't see that making a big of a difference. I think Miami pulls it out in the end, but definitely taking the points as the number is inflated due to how crappy Marquette has played.

Arizona(+3.5) I would play Ohio st all day every day, but the numbers say to play the opposite. Low line with majority on Ohio st. , equals an Arizona cover and maybe straight up win. I think Arizona will make it to the final four just based off numbers.

Indiana (-5.5) don't think this is a good match up for Syracuse at all. If you watched the California/Syracuse game, if Syracuse goes through a drought like they did against California, this game will be over at the half. Indy will win by double digits.

La salle (+4) Basically just fading a team that just upset a number one team in Gonzaga. Prime let down spot for Wichita when people will be over them after seeing them beat the zags. Don't sleep on la salle.

    Nba

Milwaukee (+2) number tells me who to play here. Majority on lakers yet line staying at 2. Milwaukee wins straight up. Hate capping the nba because it's to unpredictable and teams tend to take days off. I'm just playing games based off numbers in the nba and doing quite well instead breaking each game down and spending 30 minutes looking at a game.

    What you liking tonight?

Hopefully the dogs will be barking loud tonight. Except for Syracuse. Lol

Wow that was fast! I need Miami for my bracket, but I'm gonna lay off betting that one. What about tomorrow? FGCU +13 seems awfully trappy, doesn't it? I need Florida there...

I'm gonna tail you on Arizona, Indiana, and La Salle tonight... I was gonna go Arizona and Wichita, but you convinced me to take La Salle.

As for NBA, I'm on Milwaukee as well, but I just took the +115 ML rather than the 2 pts.

Lol haven't looked at tomorrows Games yet. It'll depend on how I do tonight to see if I'm playing tomorrow. Yeah I think miami wins a close game but doesnt cover the number. Its gonna be One of those heart attack games that we all love to watch when we bet.

I did a parlay for fun as well. Lol

    PARLAY (5 TEAMS)
    [802] MIL BUCKS +2-105
    [808] INDIANA U -240
    [810] MIAMI FLORIDA -250
    [811] ARIZONA +150
    [813] LA SALLE +4-105

    Risk 100 to win 1790

Bump....It's playoff time! Let's wipe the slate clean and start anew.

I got two relatively big futures bets from the day after the Heat won the championship last year to win the East and then repeat as champs. I got good odds on both since I did it so early. Now my experience in betting individual NBA playoffs games has been to use a lot of moneyline bets and even parlay two moneyline bets at times. Now with that said, here are the sides I'm looking at for this weekend:

    Celts +7
    Denver -7.5
    Nets -4.5
    Griz +5
    Pacers -6.5
    Spurs -9
    OKC -10

I'll probably only play two games per day.

    Thoughts? Questions? Comments? Concerns?

Edit: Boston +7 is locked in

Also I'm not a believer in the nets. Chi-town will have Noah & Gibson back. I might be tempted to take chi & the points.

Noah is hurt. Deron Williams is easily the best player in the series with Noah out

Rockets are +1100 to win the series vs Thunder.
Thunder is -1900 to win the series vs Rockets.

So, if you bet on Rockets that's $100 to win $1100. Or if you bet on the Thunder that's $1900 to win $100.

    What would you do?

Today's game was a push. Seems that the interest in this thread has died down, but I have Indiana -6.5 locked in for tomorrow. I also have a moneyline parlay that I'll post later.

I'm with you. I enjoy hearing about others' picks so let's keep it going. I'm with you on Indy.

    I won 1 & lost 2 today

I'd stay away entirely, because I'm too biased for the Rockets to be remotely rational with cash.

I got my lines @ Indy -7. I took four bills on it but I hate to not have that half point.

My advice is stay away entirely from betting on games where you have a strong rooting interest otherwise....it clouds judgment.
