Westbrook is a great player but he goes on mindless spurts to keep things interesting.

No playoffs aside, I've seen Jeremy perform under extreme pressure, playing at a historically high level to keep his job in New York.

Lin is going to hold his own.

Where was Lin during the playoffs last year? The situation of already being paid playing in the playoffs is a different form of pressure than playing to have a job in this league.

I'm no expert on playing under playoffs pressure vs playing to keeping your job pressure, but Lin more than held his own on their most recent outing. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201302200HOU.html

It's not delusional to think Jeremy can play well against OKC when he's done it before.

You just can't compare how he played in NY to real playoff high intensity basketball. He has a chance to prove me wrong though. I'm a realist when it comes to the rockets but I do want them to win every game they play.

It's delusional to think the OKC playoff team the rockets will play will be like the OKC season team the rockets beat. I'm no rookie to this thing dude. Seen it for years.

We need to get into Westbrook's head to throw his game off. Have one of our ballboys put either LSD or bird flu virus in his gatorade.

Westbrook is one of the most aggressive PGs we have ever seen...and it is the playoffs. I hope Lin becomes an ******* over the course of this , because that type of attitude is the only thing that will help him get better at this point . He is too timid to demand the ball at times.

If Westbrook feels competitive towards Lin (he should since Lin did better during the last match), it becomes a chance for the Rockets since he will shut down KD better than Parsons possibly can. On the other hand, if Harden still feels he needs to dominate the offense and defense is not his main responsibility, he will shut down his teammates and continue Rockets' losing streak.

lol where's the parsons vs durant thread? rockets have a better chance to win if parsons outperforms kd than if lin outperforms westbrook..though neither will happen.

Lin has defended westbrook pretty well though in the regular season.

His best Defense against Westbrook is to score. He can score against him he's proven that.

That was regular season this is the playoffs... Westbrook is one of the most talented players in the NBA and for those asking for him to shoot 50 times, be careful for what you ask for.

The dude is crazy but he is now the most dangerous guard in the playoffs since Kobe is hurt.

You can't fix crazy and giving Westbrook LSD or bird flu is like giving pac man a power pellett.

I actually think Lin will acquit himself well. Lin is pretty good at defending bigger guards. He would have a tougher job against somebody like Lawson as opposed to Westbrook. I just want him to hit his 3's & not get frustrated by the length of OKC's bigs or there traps.

Lin will be fine and will hold his own if given the chance.

The question shouldn't be how will Lin perform, but rather will he be given the opportunity to.

Why are we even expecting Lin to hold his own against Westbrook?

As long as Westbrook is inefficient, I wouldnt care if he puts up 15 or 40

Patrick Beverly is the key IMO. No way in hell Lin can match up w/ Westbrook. Westbrook will have a field day with Lin. PB is gonna need to be a pest and smother Westbrook like a quilt.

I predict PB & Westbrook have a few skirmishes throughout the series
