I have liked this whole season. Is it really much worse than many episodes of season 3 and season 2? I don't think so. Season 1 is my favorite. Seasons 2 and 3 had some great episodes but they were also filled with some poor ones. Season 4 has been decent to average IMO.
Another change about the show I've noticed: Britta looks better than Annie now! Am I imagining this? Britta is smoking hot all of a sudden.
It's familiar but not taking any risks. The whole Changnesia storyline better have a point because its gotten a lot of screen time so far.
One thing that I read from some blog some where on the webz is one of the most overlooked reasons why this season 4 doesn't just "feel" like the original seasons isn't just due to Dan being missing.. but his editor too. Apparently, they worked hand in hand when editing the episodes together which gave each episode it's own cohesive feel. Made total sense.. And if there ever was an episode that so glaringly screamed this, it was the last one. I honestly think it was the worst episode they've aired imo.
That's it, I couldn't put my finger on what felt different, but this might be it... All that said I will keep watching until the show is taken off air.
...so did anyone catch the finale? I thought it was too short and would have been better if it was an hour. It was a decent finale though. Still don't know if there will be another season yet.
It was okay. Not good, not horrible. It was a mashup of nostalgic call backs and poor storyline resolution. The paintball scenes were just bad compared to previous seasons. For storyline resolution, it was nice that two people actually graduated in the context of four years. It was surprising that neither was Annie or Sherie.
I agree. It was okay, not bad. Community really got botched by NBC. There were not many great episodes this last season. My understanding of the story was that Jeff graduated a semester early, and Pierce, who has been at Greendale for years, could have graduated a long time ago if he had put in his papers. Too bad it couldn't have been given a proper final season. Did anyone else catch the subtle texts in the backgrounds? They had the "Six Seasons and a Movie" in the background of one scene.
Didn't catch the subtext, if they bring back the original showrunner I'd be for it. Finale was solid, laughed more than most of the episodes this season but yeah the paintball thing was pretty lazy compared to the original paintball episode.
Season 5!! Hopefully they do it justice. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Community-Renewed-NBC-1065485.aspx
I heard it was only going to be 13 episodes, which sucks. Everything felt rushed this season including the finale. I'm not saying they can't make 13 episodes work, but they would have to keep the story lines smaller.
Good call. They had to trim over 6 minutes of the finale to fit tv standards but you can check out the script excerpts of the deleted scenes here if you can't wait til the DVD is released http://www.laughspin.com/2013/05/10/read-deleted-scenes-from-the-community-season-finale-photos/
Renewed for Season 5, apparently another baker's dozen would allow for syndication. Probably to hedge against advertising losses as it's still a bloodbath at NBC. http://variety.com/2013/tv/news/community-renewed-nbc-parks-and-rec-amy-poehler-1200478598/ http://www.theatlanticwire.com/entertainment/2013/05/nbc-cancels-everything/65125/ http://www.theatlanticwire.com/ente...-smash-and-happy-endings-got-cancelled/65131/ http://www.latimes.com/entertainmen...bc-cancels-deception-20130508,0,2687908.story
