Spoke with the father again.

Described his son is loving, very peaceful. Raised in America, has nothing against this country. Was planning on going back for school break to Russia for the first time since they immigrated to the U.S.. He is convinced if his son is killed, that it is an inside job.

He wanted his son to walk away, surrender and come back to Russia. He says his son never once touched a weapon, no training, not affiliated with any terror groups. All very alarming to him. He hasn't spoken to anyone, Russian police included.

He could not say enough, how innocent, how kind both of his sons are.

He spoke with them Monday after the bombing, asked if they are okay, if they were there. They said they were not there and said they were very calm. His sons wouldn't hurt a flea.

a bit political than I'd like for this thread but warfare is intrinsic to the human experience. History shows that violence whether perpetrated by lone psychopaths or a professional army, the ends are the same. Stating that, supporting rebels/insurgents/terrorists is just an another arm of statecraft. There is no difference between the Nazis brutalizing the Jewish civilians or slaughtering the allied soldiers, or the Hamas terrorist going into a cafe and detonating a bomb or killing a group of IDF soldiers.

 

Yeah, that guy certainly only had the best of intentions.

 

That's all believable and I can see saying that if I were their dad. But photos place them at the scene even though they lied to him and told him they weren't there.

True, but there is generally a common theme or inspiration, in Hitlers case it was Nazism, in the current world it is Islamism. Both used to bastardize and inspire/coerce people to do heinous things in some malaligned cause.
