    Yup.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Story: Boston bomb suspect's dad tells him to surrender, warns "hell will break loose" if son dies <a href="http://t.co/qHYJ2cMCko" title="http://abcn.ws/11o7qw8">abcn.ws/11o7qw8</a></p>&mdash; ABC News (@ABC) <a href="https://twitter.com/ABC/status/325253578312798209">April 19, 2013</a></blockquote>
    <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
    All this from @Bianna Golodryga(ABC)

Spoke with the father for 10-15 minutes.

He is aware of what is happening, watching on TV.

In utter shock. Says his sons would never do such a thing.

Tamerlan(?) is the father of a 3 year old daughter

They lived in Mass. for 10 years, he moved back to Russia for health reasons with his wife last year.

He did speak with both sons following the bombing in Boston on Monday evening. He asked them if they were there. They said no, they don't attend such things. They were calm.

They were bright students. Focused on school work, didn't have many friends.

Tamerlan is married, does have a wife and 3 year old daughter.

He would like to convey to his son to give himself up peacefully. He has a bright future ahead and come back home to Russia.

He is finding out real time, watching on TV. Very distressed but clear that his sons wouldn't do something like this. A huge shock to him.

If his son died, if they killed him, all hell would break loose.

He did speak with his sons a couple of days ago, after the bombings. They said they had no idea about the situation, they weren't there, and they weren't involved.

He stands firm his sons would have never done something like this.

Both boys stayed in the U.S. They love this country and studied here. Youngest came here as a small child.

Father is concerned about his well-being and that of his grandchild and daughter-in-law who lost her husband.

He clearly has a close relationship with his children. Spent 10 years living in the U.S.. 2 daughters in NY.

    ------
(Someone from People Magazine I believe)

One of the sisters, I think in NJ, said she is in mourning and horrified and mystified about what happened. Doesn't know what got into the 2 boys. Her husband is not a muslim and there is some issues there with the family, sounds like there might be some estrangement but I don't want to go there.

Better make sure these guys are positively ID'd, or else it would be way to traumatic for the family. God I can't even imagine what the father is going through right now, the emotional shock must be too much.

Screw that. Take him alive. Need to know why they would do this. Let him rot in prison.

Does it seem odd to anyone else that he would even ask if they were involved? If I were talking to family that lived in the area my concern would be that they were safe and unharmed, not "Hey did you do this?". That seems like a question you ask when, you know, you actually have some reason to think they might have been involved.

I don't think that's what happened. It was probably more like, "Were you at the Boston Marathon? Are you ok?" The quote may not have been phrased properly.

He didn't ask if they did it, he asked if they were there to see if they were safe.

It's being translated, and then relayed days later, then paraphrased by a journalist onto twitter. So no.

    CNN: Armed Caucasians are responsible

FOX: Armed Muslim terrorists with odd names are responsible

    Pick your narrative.

With all the people that they've interviewed, mainly friends of this guy, saying all the positive things about him -- this is going to be a conspiracy theorists wet dream.

But the younger one had been in the US for almost 2/3 of his life. He's been raised in America.
