When you were young and a lil kid, who were your best friends?

    Vicente, Ernest, Jose.

I remember we used to have a system when it came to stealing baseball cards. They would walk into our local Stop and Go and take a pack of baseball cards into the restroom and leave the packs behind the toilet. They would walk out and then I would walk in..browse merchandise and eventually go into bathroom where I would eventually stash said hidden baseball cards into my socks.

When I would walk out we would run so fast back into our hangout location and share and divide the cards amongst each other.

I wonder what those bastards are doing. Who were your best childhood best friends and what is a good story you can tell me about them?

Best friends in my childhood were E, J, R. (Names shortened because some are unique and would be identifiable with me)

I lived in what is considered the suburbs in Hong Kong and hung out with E J R and another kid named Eric (not a good friend but was a part of the group, he was a dick) since I was in kindergarten (They're all 2 years older than me and are family friends). E is my god brother and we pretty much did everything together back then, we would watch TV shows and play Super Smash and stuff, the usual best friend stuff. The guy is now turning 24 and married with a kid, which is pretty early within our community. Dude lives all the way across the world from me now so I don't get to talk to him as often but man I do miss that guy.

    Ernest, Jose, and Rodriguez.

I, too, used to steal baseball cards. Weird. I wonder if my old homies are on CF.

You do realize that you can exist on this board without being a condescending dickwad.

Perico, Tempo, Dany, Hormiga, Chore, Arnulfo, Mingo, Dumberas, Carlos, Mango, Martin, Denta, Rugo, Escalera, Chachín, Erasmo, Zorrillo, Juan Carlos, Vira, Martilla, Vero, Olga, Morrongo, and many others. That was just in the hood...

I can go through friends' names from elementary school, too: Guayo, Hector, Gera, Jose Armando, Bolillo, Carlillos, Nena, Claudia, Paloma, Arcelia, and many more.

I just found out that an old friend that found me on Facebook through my other friend on Facebook through my cousin in the Rio Grande Valley, both of whom attended elementary school with me since 2nd grade in Mexico, well the first friend attended the same secondary (middle) school that I attended for a semester before coming to the U.S. of A. Just barely TODAY I saw photos of her in a separate classroom... and I didn't know she went to the same school.

Girl A, Girl B, and I attended the same elementary school Z for years.
I attend school Y for half a semester, lose contact with those girls, and then come to Houston.
My cousin meets girl A in the valley.
Girl A finds me through my cousin.
Girl B finds me through girl A. I find her sister, girl C.
I find out that girl C, sister of B, is now best friends with girl D who attended school with me in school Y.

    WTH. :p

I think your friend Mango went out and became a star in the late 90's and early 2000's.

^ THAT DOES look like him! I think his real name was Mauro.

We all had nicknames, as you can tell. Mine was 'Guelo' (GHE-lo) or 'Güelillo' (we-LEE-yo).

Best friend growing up was named Travis.

Pokemon cards were the business. We'd collect, compare, trade, and battle the totally wrong way (tossed the energy cards).
SNES was a big deal back then as well.. Killer Instinct, Donkey Kong, Super Mario World, Lion King, etc etc.
Other than that, we spent a lot of time talking about Brittany Spears' boobies.

Edit: I ran into him my senior year of college in the library... I had no idea he went there as we lost contact after elementary. It was a pretty short conversation and nothing came out of it.

How about Dave, Thomas and the crowbar to get the Hustler mag we convinced the corner store dude to sell us that we threw in the gutter when another friend's mom saw us as we were leaving so we freaked. That was a good one.

I'm lucky in that I'm still best friends with friends I've known since pre-K and fourth grade.

Mauricio. We'd hangout everyday after school we lived right across from each other. We'd play football, basketball (Mexicans vs filipino), play some n64, play pretend military/zombie apocalypse. Then I moved here and we pretty much lost touch after that. A few how's it going on myspace/Facebook is about all since.

Good grief. Just ignore or grow up. Seriously, I see this and I picture a middle school kid saying it.

On topic. Being an army brat I didn't have best friends...but there was one particular family of relatives that seems to be everywhere with us overseas. So my cuz, Rudy, gets honored here.

I moved around a lot when I was little so I had to keep making new friends but my fondest memory of a childhood friend would be when I was around 8-12 (22 yrs old now). We rode bikes around the neighborhood all day. Played Pokemon cards and that Pokemon on his N64 where you could upload your game boy Pokemon to the system. I still keep in touch with him via Facebook.

My best friends when I was little are still my best friends. Guess that's odd.
