The guy leads this team to the playoffs and he's overrated? Now i've seen everything.

Jeremy Lin, Chandler Parsons, Greg Smith, and Omer Asik without Harden = Bottom feeders in the West.

The Hornets team of Eric Gordon, Anthony Davis, Greivis Vasquez, Ryan Anderson, and Robin Lopez would even be better and they still finished 2nd worst in the West.

False. We are obviously a better team without Harden. The 2 games we won against the Clippers and Magic PROVE that.

This is true, and I am worried about it. His FG% is quite low for a player on his level and it is getting lower. He has had many game where he had a 30% field goal average. Harden does not exploit his many talent's. He goes iso a great deal and charges down the paint. The Nugget's knew he was going to do this and stopped him cold. I believe that was the game when he scored 14 points. Any way his FG% was horrendous when we last played the Nuggets. Where do we go from here if this keeps up?

I disagree, but then again, you could be right. Hell I could be right that they will be 8th seed without Harden. Prove it to me.

The 8th best player in the NBA is NOT a superstar.

With Harden and without McHale = 5th was doable
Without Harden and without McHale = 8th is easily doable
Without Harden and with McHale = You are right.

If you honestly think he has the tools to become a prime Lebron or even Kobe you are delusional. Both had other worldly athleticism at 23 which Harden does not have.

Harden as individual player is very good. As team player not so much.

notice everytime when they interview chandler parsons..especially when they win...he say the team plays unselfish, or harden plays unselfish....

its not hardens talent i am questioning, its the way he plays the game, james harden might have been so good since he was a kid like 12 years old,,and probably most of his teammates defer to him and gave ball and let him iso and create and win games, so he never really got used to playing organized team basketball

i like james harden, regular season is over now ive come up with 4 words to describe harden...

    Beard, Talented, Selfish(lazy), Hero

Harden's talent is his above average strength for a SG, and his ability to explore it in drives. But his energy and quickness is average which is the reason he tries to preserve energy from the defensive end and doesn't move off the ball. His BBIQ is good but his attitude is the monkey wrench to his team (thanks to the coach). Lin, Parsons and Asik have been improving every month and Jones has great potential. If Harden doesn't adjust himself his impact to winning games for his team will continue to decline.

TMac had better stats in a number of years and his team never went anywhere in the playoffs.

If you think Harden is a rising talent with superstar potential then he's not overrated.
If you think he's already a franchise changer, that can take everyone to the next level tomorrow then yes he is overrated.

How many people talk negative about Harden in this thread. And which ones are LOFs?

I know you will just run away and hide in you hole to avoid answering this question. Because you know the answer will show how dumb you were to have said that.

    You are simply pathetic.

Harden is overrated if you think his ISO is the best offense the Rockets can muster up.

To compare him to prime tmac is unfair. McGrady at his peak was a a freak of nature. Guys like Tmac and Durant don't just grow on trees. They were a once in a generation talent.

I think people complaining about Harden are insane. They don't appreciate what they have. The ones saying he plays selfishly and doesn't play team ball are the most insane.

Most of the time Harden does it exactly right. Sometimes Harden needs to do more on his own, and sometimes Harden tries to do too much on his own.

But Harden makes passes to open guys, gets them shots, tries (especially early in games) to get everyone else on the team going. When the team struggles Harden will do more himself like a leader and best player on a team should. When the game is close or it comes down to crunch time Harden will often do a little more... exactly like a leader and best player on a team should.

One of the things I love about Harden is the way he gets teammates involved and trusts his team even when he's the best player on the team. He plays with a maturity most 23 year old NBA players with his talent don't play with.

Harden still has weaknesses. He turns it over too much, he doesn't play enough defense, and plays no defense if he gets in foul trouble. Occasionally he doesn't do enough, and occasionally he tries to do too much.

But every player including Kobe, Jordan, Lebron, Clyde, Hakeem, Bird, Magic, etc. had times where they tried to take over important games and lost. They didn't make the game winning shot, they turned the ball over, and/or they blew defensive coverages. It wasn't every game, it wasn't all the time, but it happened. It happened more when they were early in their career like Harden is. It doesn't mean that they were overrated. Harden is hardly overrated and has proven that he's a real franchise star player in this league with an even bigger upside as he continues to learn the game.

Harden is a great player, and maybe he's just a tad bit overrated now because analysts/commentators just dont stop talking about him in regards to Houston. Like seriously, every time on ESPN or TNT or any other national program whenever the analysts talk about Houston it seems like they think Harden is the only guy on this team and he's some kind of God. How about Asik? Without him this team would be ****. How about Parsons? Or even Lin? This team would not be in the playoffs without any of them. That being said, Harden has led this team to a playoff spot so he does deserve some recognition.

But if you think Harden is or will ever be on players of the likes of KD, Lebron, Kobe, or Wade you are delusional. Even after Shaq, Kobe took a talentless Lakers team to at least a 7th seed each year and when he got another star in Pau took them to 3 straight finals winning 2. Lebron literally took a team of scrubs consistently deep in the playoffs including an NBA finals.

These guys are game changers. Harden isnt
