He's going through a bad stretch. We've seen him struggle to score before earlier in the season. He had no problem with tightening up his shot selection and becoming more of a facilitator.

These past few weeks it's almost the opposite. He starts off great because he constantly lets the offense run through the whole team and picks out his shots. Then he tries to force too much late in the game.

We've seen what he can do, and it's not overrated at all. That said, all I want to see in this postseason is 48 minutes of Harden leading by example and playing in the system.

Harden is undoubtedly a great player and he is not overrated, but sometimes the way he plays is hurting the team. We might win the game when he got hot hands, and obviously its not gonna happen every single game. When he is off, he tends to keep throwing bricks and not realising its not gonna work, and this constrains ball movement and the growth of other players on this team. Without Harden the Rockets is already a very talented team with a lot of potential. We had 4 games without Harden this season. Despite a loss in the road game against the Clippers, we managed to beat the Clippers and Magic, and forced the Spurs into overtime. IMO thats pretty impressive since the the Spurs and Clippers are both contenders. With Harden, we should have achieved more than just 8th seeds. He is not a superstar yet, but once McHale figures out how to utilize Harden's ability without going ISO (Hopefully this will happen), and Harden himself puts more effort on defense, he will become a superstar.

Pretty pathetic how quickly our fan base turns on coach, gm, owner, players, etc.

To be fair, I doubt it's Rocket's fans, more likely posters from 2012.

James Harden is here to stay. If you don't like him, go somewhere else.

This thread does have one positive, though. It lets me see who the true idiots of Clutchfans are. Unfortunately, it looks like the idiots outnumber us.

Currently Harden is practically all offense and no defense. Prior to Harden joining the Rockets, the consensus opinion on this board was that similar all offense and no defense players (eg. Carmelo) are not super stars. Now that Harden is wearing a Rockets jersey, that opinion is suddenly out of the window, and we not only consider him as a super star but also a top 1 or 2 player for his position. So yeah, I think we are overrating him a bit on this board.

This seems to be true for the majority. Most have had an agenda since they joined. It's silly since nothing is getting changed at this point in the season.

It's the playoffs. Get on board. Better yet, jump ship.

    wud like to see harden

-ease up on his midrange...seems like they never fall
-stop holding the ball then dumping it when theres like 3 sec left. of course lin/parsons is gonna miss that 3...
-realize that chances are low that the refs will give u foul shots when u drive in, in crunch time.
    -moar team ball.

Haven't been able to watch much of any Rockets games being overseas. But from the games I have seen, seems like Harden plays well the 1st half, and doesn't show up the 2nd.....

LeBron took garbge to the nba finals against the spurs. Lebron was/is athletic beast and harden isn't, LeBron played D from the first day he entered the league , harden hasnt

I get your point but worst possible example. Did you see the East that year? It was a joke, and the Spurs walked to a 4-0 sweep.

He's 23 years old and just took his team to the playoffs... I'd say he's doing fantastic. Anyone who doesn't put him in,an MVP catagory is nuts. However watching him play last night during the second half was depressing. I like mchale and I think he definitely took a group and over achieved but last.night when we were scrambling for plays it showed.just how unorganized or young the team was.

his offensive game has declined this month and his defense has been below average all season. Compare him to Melo, CP3, Lebron, even Kobe before he got injured and its easy to see he shouldn't be in the MVP convo. If you are a REAL rocket fans and not a harden only fan, you can easily see the multiple deficiencies in his game . Parsons should have been the focal point of the offense last night not ISO-HARDen

kobe is DEADLY shooter with more athletic ability than harden and is able to elevate over defenders for shots. Lebron can shoot ,drive to rim looking to score and not for fouls, athletic freak, can shoot jumpers better than harden ever could, etc etc

Harden is in Tier B in the "star" category.

He's twenty ****ing three!!! He's better skilled than any player on the this team including Parsons and Lin combined (who are older than him). I blame the coach for last night because he lost control of the team but that's not because Harden is overrated.

He's the youngest player in the NBA top 10.

You need to calm the **** down or GTFO because Harden isn't going anywhere. He's the face of the franchise. Accept that or find a new team.
