Yeah dude stepped it up in the second half. Possibly effects of the home crowd.

Although I think many of the steals Bev got wasn't a foul. So Blake definitely did get some of that superstar calls.

I won't discredit the dude for hitting some big 3's the last two games but 6 for 20 and 8 ft's for a jump shooter tonight? Haven't even heard of this guys since he played with the blazers now all of sudden he's white mamba? Must be nice to have espn based in LA.

Whatever, lol at anyone thinking this will be sustainable because it needs to be in order for them to have any sort of chance against SA. A bigger lol to anyone thinking the Spurs is an easy out.

The Spurs aren't an easy out and of course are still the favorites. However, the Lakers do give them a lot of problems with their size on the interior. Last week I would have said this series would be 4, 5 games tops but now I think it could go the distance and an upset wouldn't shock me. Now if the Rockets had held on, OKC would have had their way with the Lakers just because of the speed difference.

It was obvious the calls were going their way. At the line since 9 min in the fourth? Gtfo if you think it was a hack a dwight thing......all of it was insanely obvious. I told everyone we need to push a big lead in the 3rd bc once it gets to the 4th qtr, the refs will take over. What happens? The refs dont call anything when Harden drove it in and regulated him to shooting 3s bc he knew he wasnt goona get any calls driving it in

If Kobe wasn't injured... this playoff picture would be perfect for BSPN.

Spurs v Lakers = battle of the Elders (Duncan/Kobe)
OKC v Rox = old family reunion.

Unfortunately for OKC, the Rockets will win game 7 and advance to the conf finals v Spurs. Then MerGady will take all the credit.

I only caught the end of the game but it seemed pretty stupid to me that Harden kept flailing in the lane when the refs obviously weren't going to give him the call. Probably he would have been better off pulling up.

But yeah, the Lakers have been known to get a call or two. However, I think with Kobe out hopefully it won't be as egregious as it usually is.

LOL i was watching the game and at halftime I told my girl, "watch us lose by 4" Lakers aint got jack shyt. Their weapon was suppose to be Kobe, Nash, Dwight and Pau. They lost 2 of them, and 1 is washed up while the other can't hit his damn ft's. So how is this Laker team suppose to manufacture any points? Let's keep the Rockets up by under ten then in the fourth, let's get them in the penalty at 9 minutes and have Lakers in the bonus the entire way to win the game. It's so fukn obvious, my girl doesn't even watch basketball and was playing video games on her phone. Every time she heard a whistle, she said is the lakers shooting ft's again or Was the call on the Rockets? Answer?

Even Steve Blake, Jodie Meeks, Goudlock?, Ebanks, can be favored as long as they wear the purple and gold.

Fckk Old asss Stern and his refs. They have become too predictable and the sad part is I keep on watching this shyt. lol

Depends if Nash is back . Nash running the same offense with Dwight being the amare , they could do it.

If Kobe had played, they'd be sitting home by now. D'Antoni finally got hold of the team, people know Kobe is the assistant GM, coach, teammate and player.

Nash being out is good for their defense. If Steve Blake is scoring and hitting shots (which obviously doesn't happen all the time), they are better without Nash.

This season might be Nash's last as an effective starter. The guy will be a seriously liability next season if he's a starter and the Lakers don't have a very good backup who can play big minutes.

Are you actually watching the games or are you just checking sportscenter and box scores too? The Lakers did not destroy the Spurs and to talk as if the Spurs were playing at full strength is even more ridiculous. Tony Parker was a complete shell of himself and didn't even play in the 4th. A fourth quarter that started off tied even though the Spurs got "destroyed." Also, the Spurs had only scored over 100 once in the past 7 games and that was against the Kings so that amazing Lakers defense isn't nearly as impressive in context.

As far as the Rockets go, if you had actually watched the entire game you would have seen that the Lakers got outplayed for 3 quarters even though the Rockets shot very poorly from behind the 3 pt line. Normally when the Rockets shoot that terribly they get beat pretty easily. Also, it wasn't even a case of the Lakers playing good perimeter D but was just a result of the Rockets missing a lot of good looks. Delfino, Harden, and Lin all missed on several good looks from behind the arc.

The Rockets had a terrible shooting night...partly because of coaching ineptitude, and off rhythm shooting...you can be wide open, but if it isnt in rhythm, most of us would miss...an NBA pro isnt any different...

Lol at the Lakers thinking that the Spurs are going to be any easier than the Thunder...The Spurs will demolish them...the series is over in 4 games

Dont forget Nash and D'Antoni have a score to settle with the Spurs. Its personal. I like that kind of motivation heading into a series

Especially for the Lakers, Spurs are a far, far better matchup.

I suspect that series will go 6, if not 7.

Iono man. Harden was missing a lot of shots that he normally makes. Lin had several wide open catch and shoot opportunities that he missed. An NBA pro is very different btw.

Why do you keep making excuses? The fact is that the Lakers have turned in two great defensive performances in their last two, which happened to be must win, critical games against good teams. The last time they turned in a performance like this was @Indiana. These kinds of gritty defensive performances are what makes playoff teams successful (which is why Houston is going to be a quick out and why Memphis is so scary even with no big names). For whatever reason (I have my theories), the Lakers have become a very good defensive team in the last few games and that is the reason they have a chance in the playoffs now.

I can't stand it when people are like "the only reason we lost is because our guys couldn't hit a basket.. it has nothing to do with the other team".

You've put me in this awkward position to actually want to root for the Lakers now just to defend my premise, even though I can't stand them and their fans. I do believe the Spurs will beat them because they are one of the best teams in the league still, but it's no longer the lock it once was and that is scary and very typical of "Laker luck".
