We have one of the best offenses in the league and it's being led by Harden with 26ppg and 6 assist per game.

    What are you talking about?

What we need is a less redundant second option. Everytime Harden struggles against a defense, Lin does too. Whether it's the Memphis game, the Pacers game, tonight. It's like having a poorman's Harden taking the ball from him and it doesn't help at all when we are facing a defensive team that exploits our weaknesses.

We need to get a good PF/C this off season who can make the game harder for the defense and who can diversify our offense.

To be fair developing a good mid range game takes time for guards. He'll get better at this part of his game in time. He's still so young.

Man I never get into these debates, but you guys are ridiculous. Harden is not overrated, and not even close to being that. Right now he is inefficient yes, I can take that. Right now he is forcing it yes, I understand that. But did we completely forget about his efficiency before all this crap happened? To me as a big fan of his its simple.

He is very young, he takes contested shots, he holds the ball for too long. But you know what? The coaches gets the say in any of these. If they don't see a problem with this, then it's on them. Players should be held accountable by the coach.

It's the same reason with Lin, we keep saying for most of the season why he's not handling the ball, well if the coach don't see a problem with that then what is the player to say what is right or wrong? They are all young players that buys into the coaches system. If the coaches doesn't give them a red flag, that technically means they are doing the right thing (Which I obviously disagree).

I've been saying it all this time. Let Lin handle the rock and orchestrate the offense, and we'll be seeing monster efficient Harden again in no time.

I don't understand why the **** everyone blaming Harden for our loss, He is 23 years old player, never been in starting line-up before this season. been caring this team on his shoulder this whole season, people need to get a grip the guy never had this role before and IMO he handled well.

People always tend to look at the negatives, yes we lost 2 easy games, but I think we have great young group of guys with little experience the sky is their limit, all we need is signing post up player this off-season, and definitely new coach.

Harden is overrated in losses like these and a superstar in wins like the one vs OKC and San Antonio, correct?

so what if hes top 5 scorer in 4th? you can be top 1 scorer and still be the worst player on the team and the main culprit your team lost...you take tons of shots and of course you gona hit some...anybody in the league could be top5 scorer in 4th if given freedom like harden and kobe...and boy some would surely fare better than kobe and harden ie lin

but i agree it's not a big deal but something that should be worked in the years to come...perhaps thats mchales or morey strategy to make him a superstar and thus draw other superstars because thats the way he thinks nba works or thats where the money is...

but look at examples and what is my main argument:

SAS have 3 superstars but they are playing TEAMBALL= extremely sucesfull
LAL 4 superstars still playing iso = disaster...

Harden has been the most overrated player in the NBA for a long time.

If you have no patience and the passion for this team, stop following them at this early stage of our rebuilding/learning process and jump on the bandwagon once the we become contenders in the future instead.

To be clear beforehand, I love Harden when he's 100%. That being said if he was benched for the last 4 weeks of the season we'd have the 6 or 7 seed for sure. He has played awful basketball lately and is worn out, unfortunately we are stuck with a matchup where we have no chance, and a superstar who needs a month off.

never said harden was overrated. just said his defense was crap which is true. harden would be an even better player if he developed a turnaround fallaway jumper. he is a player thats much more capable of doing more than just drive for fouls, and jacking up threes all night.

How is he overrated? Can't carry the youngest and most inexperienced team to the playoffs on their first season playing together?

IMO, if you're number 1 option is overrated, his team would be in the lottery.

Harden playing too out of control...and that is on the Head Coach...Harden hands down is the best set shooter we have...instead we see play after play...where he is forced to create his own shot...The Rockets really need Lin to run the show...and have Harden play his true role...a true SG...

Not even close. The top 8 are NOT superstars. "Superstar" is guys like Kobe, LeBron, Durant.......maybe Wade.

The whole so and so is a superstar thing has gotten totally out of hand. People have completely lost the proper context of what a superstar is.

You couldn't wait to come in here and defend him:rolleyes:

The guy is the SOLE reason we lost the last two games. Had he made the right play and hit the open guy we'd won easily. We have a ton of firepower that isn't being utilized because Harden is literally breaking plays so he can go one on one. He just had 3 games off in NO WAY is he tired.

Harden is not 7 year old. if he is smart enough, he should know by this whole season ISO ball will never work.

Yes, 23 is still young. but playing whole season and still have no clue of teamball is not good sign for young promising superstar.
