Refs were imo '' Reasonably good" in fact, i expected worse, but was quite surprised that the game was being officiated respectfully.

Game came down to one thing tonight "coaching". or lack thereof

    Frontcourt is Suck.
    Refs didn't give the call.
Harden ISO, take time from the clock, Pass the TO Balls.
    McHale Plans.

I thought this for awhile too and then I watched the 4th quarter...

Considering that Delfino was one of our "Bigs" tonight, I think that a lot of issue #2 stems from issue #1

McHale. Not the refs. Not the Lakers. Not harden. Not Lin. McHale. Guy just can't coach. All we run is isolation. Just awful.

Ticky-Tack fouls those first 3 minutes of the 4th took away all our momentum. I get the small ball had to do this that to some extent, but they were really quick to blow those whistles early on and they seemed to have put them in their pocket on our side. Did we even get into the penalty in the 4th?

Harden is too good of a player to hold on to the ball for 20 seconds.

That's a big part of it. Too many possessions with 15+ seconds wasted holding the ball. Rockets are not going to beat any playoff teams playing half court and that is exactly what they did in the second half. The fourth quarter, especially the beginning, was ****ing terrible. Harden had a poor game, dominated the ball.

McHale left Beverly in too long, Beverly racked up 2 of our 5 fast fouls early in the 4th, and then Lin and Harden couldn't hit shots.

In normal circumstances this would have been a narrow win, but you can't get narrow wins against the Lakers. Refs tilt the game too much.

Got killed on the boards. McHale seemed to have his head up his ass. Lin shot poorly, played decently. Harden had a bad, bad game. Parsons was great.

No it was atrocious in the 4th qrtr. In the penalty with 10 to go?!?!

That being said, the rockets could have still won this and the loss is on them, not the zebras.

Combination of bad calls and bad half court offense.

I don't really think we have less if a shot to beat OKC than we did SA, I just hate being the 8 seed! Makes us seem irrelevant!

The reason for the loss is because our team sucks. Harden sucks as lead dog, Lin sucks because he doesn't have the balls to stand up to Harden, Parsons sucks because despite being clutch he doesn't contribute a god damn thing in the first half, and our coach sucks ass and should move back to boston.

That's the reason for the loss.

Why do you blame Delfino? It was all McHale on his part. Delfino didn't even chuck 3 this game, he knew he couldn't shoot. That behind back pass was great. Normally I dislike him handling the ball, but during the fast breaks, he makes good decisions in general.
