Lakers shot 37% against one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Tonight's game was trash and my eyes feel abused for watching. Their "committee" missed 13 consecutive shots in crunch time.

You are either on drugs or just trolling very hard.

Rockets are DOA. They were terrible (particularly Harden) and McHale's lineups and decisions were awful.

It's easy to play defense against a team as badly coached as the rockets. Things were good until McHale decided to put Delfino on Pau and allow them to get rebound after rebound and rack up fouls. The Lakers played a bad game and the rockets played an even worse one

The Clippers are a tough matchup because they thrive in transition and the Lakers turn the ball over a lot. However, if Nash returns and gets handed the keys like he was supposed to all along, the Lakers should improve on that and then they could be scary for the Clippers. The Clipper frontline can't really handle the Lakers.

Te soonest these two teams could meet is the WCF though and that would mean the Clips got through OKC, which would mean they probably could beat the Lakers too.

You aren't giving the Laker defense any credit. They are so much better with a motivated Dwight.

Admittedly I was watching the Clipper game so I only caught the last half of the 4th and OT, where it looked to be a combo of horrible iso offense and excellent Laker D, as well as the refs not giving the Rockets so iffy Harden calls on drives.

You have no real right to comment if that's all you watched. It's pointless to debate

A dedicated gasol makes the biggest difference... Along with a motivated Dwight..

I hate the lakers, but the hate for Dwight and gasol is uncalled for here...

Imagine if we had a post presence of a Dwight, out wrist case scenario gasol...?

I have watched all the Laker games though and the difference in their defense when Kobe is out vs in is like night and day. The Rockets couldn't do anything in the part I watched. I mean 95 points in an OT from the highest scoring team in the NBA?

I will say that the Laker offense needs work but I'd much rather have a good D than a good O going into the playoffs. This is why I'm pissed the Clippers drew the Grizz again instead of the Rockets or GS.

Lakers have won two slopfests at home since Kobe went down and you define that as "showing dominance". What's being shown is ignorance on your part.

"Showing dominance" LOL! You are a trip.

Since Kobe been down, how do you guys feel about NBA's new manufactured interim superstar Steve Blake? Somebody's got to come through in the back court ya dig?

I guess I'm rooting for the Lakers.

I don't want to see TMac get past the first round. Hes a loser and he must lose for the universe to be in perfect balance.

Well they destroyed the Spurs who were playing everyone and trying to win. And they held the best offense in the league to 95 points in OT. Considering that the Lakers were one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA with Kobe in, and now they are looking fantastic, that's a pretty big turnaround. Defense is ultimately what wins games in the playoffs, but all you Sportcenter watchers ony care about the offense.
