Harden is garbage. Forget stats for a second, as a college player myself, just watch what his moves are...1. drive hard left (can't go right) 2. Eurostep/crashing into defender in transition no matter what 3. pound the ball for 20 seconds and shoot off balance jumper....honestly, he only has like 1-2 moves...his defense is fcking shyt...he's a turnover machine...last year's finals debacle is an indication of who he truly is...if he can't produce with 2 other elite players drawing attention away from him, how the hell is he gonna do it now...and don't give me this, he needs time to develop and he's young crap...he has some HORRIBLE habits and as of right now, fcking sucks and is the antithesis of clutch!!!
I'm pretty sure people expect him to be on Lebron or Durant status instantly, which is kind of funny. People have no patience...it's kind of alarming... Same can be said with Lin. Lin has played pretty awful at times this year, but he's going to improve. It's just not going to be this year. Everybody on the team is so young, yet people want instant success.
No he's not.......ISO plays are low percentage. McHale has to do something else. He can't carry you for 82 games......wait for the next piece of the puzzle to judge Harden completely. Another all star next to him will make him even better.
I heard that clutchfans used to have intellectual conversations about basketball. Now all they do is complain. Harden is clearly tired. Trust me, he will come back better next year. He is not lazy. He is not apathetic. He is not another McGrady. He wants to win. Yes, Harden played like crap the last 3 QT's of this game and that's when the game matters. But, frankly, he has been so good for us in the fourth quarters. He averages 6 points in the fourth quarter which is good for top 5 in the league. Sure that has a lot to do with free throws. But, those are important.
The job of a coach is to COACH players. Maybe make them better. Maybe set a precedent throughout the seasons that if you continually stop the ball, you won't play. Hmmmmm what a concept
He really is overrated. We can pretend to ignore his terrible defensive effort when he's lighting up the scoreboard, but when his offense is struggling then he becomes a liability at both ends of the floor.
Every player is being misused in this offense except for Parsons, Delfino, and Beverly...Harden needs to play more off the ball, slash to the basket, run off curls/screens, and only handle the ball on PnRs...Lin needs to handle the ball more in traditional offensive sets, not force defended shots, probe the paint, and drive/dish, and our PFs need the ball in the post where they are reasonably competent
How is that farfetched? Harden is very predictable on offense and teams can shut him down. Far too many times has he been rendered ineffective and looks terrible.
You can blame the Coach for overusing Harden Iso balls plays, and not holding Harden accountable for Defensive effort and TOs.
its threads like this that make Clutchfans so much fun. ive never see a sight with so many knee jerk reactions
