Blake is 6 of 20, and some of those shots weren't even on Lin

That timeout, McHale does nothing while the assistant coach tries to do everything

You know JVG would be a great coach for this team. He could teach us how to play defense and then on offense, we can just keep the ISO.

If pop coach this team. We would have 50+ wins.

I thought Harden would miss the second throw and go for a rebound and get a 3

I love how out of the timeout Mchail went from Harden ISO to Parsons ISO - that'll really catch LA by surprise! Great coaching Mchail! SMDH half the plays were either Harden chucking a three after ISOing for 23 seconds, Harden passing the ball to someone else after ISOing for 23 secs, or Harden running full speed into the lane and throwing the ball into the air. This game was even more pathetic than the PHX game - and that's saying something. I won't be watching any of the postseason unless I have a lot of time to waste. Don't call me a fairweather fan. It's not just that the Rockets are losing it's the fact that thay're annoying the hell out of me to the point where I want to hit someone. It's not worth it.

We just need a PF that can score the ball. We had no bigs to force Howard out of the paint. Give Howard credit for good defense.

In basketball officiating, that is called the principle of verticality. From the East Bay Basketball Officiating Association:

When taking a charge, does the defensive player have to be still?

Basketball rules state that if a defensive player is in a legal defensive stance or position, the defensive player has the right to move in order to maintain his legal positioning. A charging call can be made even if the defensive player has one or both feet off of the ground when the offensive player makes contact with the defensive player. The basketball rule of “verticality” applies here. If a defensive player jumps straight up to block a shot and the offensive player jumps into and creates contact with the defender, an offensive charging call could be made. (Therefore, it is more important if a defender is squared up and contact is made to the defender’s chest than if the defender is moving.)

The NBA is definitely inconsistent when it comes to officiating but I believe the same principles should apply regardless if it's NBA, high school or college.

McHale: "Here's our inbound play, James inbounds it. Jeremy, screen Howard. Greg run to the ball. James, pass it to Greg."
