    Whoa.. I was just thinking about that historic explosion @ Tx City and thought about fertilizer... But I never even saw the date.. That is CRAZY!!

    Texas City is definitely the first thing that came to mind. Thoughts and prayers. :( Agree that the final tally is going to be really sobering.

    On the far left side. If you look closely there seems to be a flash of light and then the big explosion.

    I had to dig deep into the Archive to find my one and only picture of the Texas City explosion -- it had the power of a tactical nuke.

    Where are you guys getting the high fatality numbers from? So far all the numbers I am reading are 2 to 3. Link please.

    sounds like Ammonium Nitrate type explosion (Texas City explosion way back)
