Just so I have my scorecard in order... You visit a forum called "flyertalk" on the web somewhere.... .... and they are having an in person meeting with some of the members there... .... and you're thinking about going..... .... and you weren't ashamed to admit these things here publicly.... .... but didn't really want input from people who somehow knew what you were talking about ? Is that about the size of it?

Hmmm. Maybe I can shed some light. I have visited the flyertalk forum in the past, but it was when I was flying from San Francisco to London every second week, and I was trying to find out how to make sure I was booked on a new, refurbished United jet instead of the old crap ones. Yes, that is a bit geeky, but it was necessary, because United is poor at the best of times. So I'm guessing at this get together, you will have a bunch of frequent flyers talking about how to get the best seats on the plane, how to get upgrades, how much they fly, how many great perks they get from airlines etc.......and I think it is creepy that they have a get together. I'm sure at least one attendee will fly in for the event.
I'm not mad just had to check you for bragging. But since you bring it up I'm 99.9% sure you wouldn't do that make fun of them to their face. And who represents a city they don't even live in?
They never said they live in Punjab but they speak punjabi eat punjabi food go to gurdwara and spend a few months each year in Punjab. Not sure what more you're asking for.
